I don’t see this doing that great. I don’t think anything would tbh, but midnight rain, the great war, and maroon would all have been better choices. Even vigilante s**t. I’d rather her just push cruel summer though. Especially after die for you showed it could be done. Vigilante S**t is among the worst songs I’ve ever heard, it would absolutely not work on radio. But I do agree that there probably isn’t a smash hit waiting to happen on Midnights, I would love to be proven wrong though. |

It's wild that every single track she's pushed to pop radio with her as lead, excluding Christmas music, has made the top 20 except for "The Story of Us," which only barely missed out. Even crazier that this includes things like "Message in a Bottle," "Our Song," and "Today Was a Fairytale" which weren't exactly given massive pushes or would be expected to have performed like they did.
Also just noticed how, up until "Lavender Haze," every song she took to the top five reached the top two as well.
