If PopCrave said it, it must be true. They tweeted this because “TOTC” posted it, not because they make predictions themselves. Most of Stan Twitter is invested in these weeks Hot 100 #1 so they’ll post/retweet this for engagement. 💀 I know they don't predict themselves, I was making a joke about Pop Crave being one of leading sources for breaking news lol www.insider.com/pop-crave-the-viral-twitter-account-disrupting-music-media-election-2020-11Shitty of them not to credit TOTC though.

I knew that 27K sales figure made zero sense for the song's actual performance...

A song with almost 3M daily streams on Spotify is in danger of losing #1 spot to a song that is currently charting outside the Top 30 on both Apple and Spotify. And the album that currently occupies 9/10 spots on Spotify and 7/10 spots on Apple Music will be barred from the Top 10 except for one song? They have managed to come up with a new formula to make their charts even more meaningless than they already are. I think a lot of people are overlooking the youtube views. With the music video, visualiser, lyric videos etc, it's done ~45 million views combined on youtube. I assume a large chunk of that will be from the US. That's likely making up for its streaming being lower on other platforms. Final numbers are in for the week. (Including UGC which will be filtered out): 8.24 million.

^More importantly, between the song's video and visualizer which counted for the YouTube music video chart, those got 6.47 million.

I knew that 27K sales figure made zero sense for the song's actual performance... Me too, it definitely seemed way too high. I wonder how they miscalculated that number then, they didn't really explain? Or maybe it was just a misprint, which they used to do a lot of, but that seems less likely for this type of prediction article. Either way, it's not debuting at #1, so y'all can breath a big sigh of relief.

Pulling all the stops for digital downloads and still getting under 30k. That's 2022's sorry state for sales.

based on that prediction, as expected, "Question...?" is the biggest loser from last week's history-making Top 10, falling 22 spots, and biggest percentage loser of all Taylor Swift tracks, taking a 55% hit. notably the webstore digital downloads were not available this week.
still, looks like all 20 songs will be charting for a second week, although "Dear Reader" might be cutting it a bit close. 1 out of 5 songs on the Hot 100 by T-swift for the second week in a row 🤯

Barbz and BTS Army are way more engaged in mass buying than the Rihanna Navy to be fair. Rih usually opens well but reaches #1 later on, not that I expect LMU to beat it's debut though.

I knew that 27K sales figure made zero sense for the song's actual performance... Lol when did they edit it? I think Rihanna's team and maybe Swift's team bought into that incorrect figure and thus all of the late pushes. I hope SZA can sneak out that top 10 debut!

Was "Anti-Hero" meant as a dig to Rihanna's first solo project since Anti? Hmmmm.

I wonder if that sales figure was unfiltered sales and then they did an audit. Possible that some 11K of those sales didn't meet the criteria because it was more than 4 on the same credit card, etc. But also totally possible it's just an error. I'll never forget that time Lana almost had a top ten hit because Billboard made some wild sales error and it was actually like #52.
Also, yay, Taylor's first multi-week number one since LWYMMD! I feel like she will get the two weeks after the Drake bomb before Mimi takes over. That would tie SIO for her second longest number one. I also think she has a really good shot at returning after Christmas and possibly beating Blank Space as her longest running number one (7 weeks).

I could see one of the songs off Her Loss blocking her at that point but it depends on airplay probably

it wasn't, and everyone knew that, until those fake sales (27k in 3 days) posted by Billboard. Yeah, to be fair all the publicly available info pointed to AH winning this week again. #2 is great for such a letdown track. It outpeaks all the vastly superior BP songs from the first film. I think her next lead could take the top spot with ease.

It's gonna be sad seeing it outpeaked all the other Black Panther songs (even the overrated Pray For Me) but in the long run, it's the songs from the first soundtrack people are gonna still be streaming or even remember 3 months from now. I wouldn't even be surprised if All the Stars gets a big resurgence this Friday while LMU does not

Rihanna has had three songs blocked at number two so far, each by one of the biggest songs of the era
Pon De Replay - We Belong Together Run This Town - I Gotta Feeling Wild Thoughts - Despacito
will we regard AntiHero as a continuation of Rihanna’s only blocked at #2 by massive songs every half decade?

Not a chance. 💀 If it was blocked by “As It Was” a few weeks ago then yes, arguably.

I mean a song can be massive without spending 10+ weeks at #1 but for camp Swift I think the fact it already outpeaked all singles from her last four albums and will probably end up as her biggest radio hit in 5 years is a big win anyways.
As for Rih tbh in all four instances her song didn't really feel like the bigger hit. And PDR is well remembered even if it didn't hit #1.

65m for #1 on airplay is just sad.
We're gonna get way more "omg huge radio debut" record breaking songs in the next few years as the decline in overall radio consumption decreases more, kinda like how a song like Shallow can spend like 20+ weeks at number one on Digital sales and still trail stuff like the "underperformer" Applause on actual moved copies.
