Admittedly I wasn't *huge* on this at first as it felt a bit underwhelming compared to her other music. The more I listened though the more this clicked, and eventually I found myself listening a lot this summer/fall! |

Honestly first started really listening to Kelela in like early 2021, so I was super excited to find out she is making new music especially after so long. This song is such a banger, I love it so much! |

This was released during the time that I was quarantining alone with COVID, I remember that very vividly lol. I just love how chill and laid back this feels, it's very sunny day vibes which I like. |

This is really great (and better than Unconditional imo), though it didn't get higher due to me being very slightly burnt on Magdalena Bay a bit in the last few months of the year (Don't worry I still love them, I just listened to them so much in 2021/the first half of 2022 lol) |

Probably the best song on their new album, and one of my favorites from them in general. Songs like this, American Teenager, mirrorball, etc. where the vocals seem to echo in the background are such great driving songs imo. |

I was already a fan of this in 2021, but I didn't start *really* listening to it until this summer when I saw Spellling at Pitchfork. This song is so mysterious and badass which I absolutely love. Also, it lightly rained during her Pitchfork set so that just really helped add to the aesthetic haha |

Shout out to jtd Thee Stallion for sending this for STM! I heard it for the new R&B releases rankdown but I didn't start charting it until after listening for STM, it's just been such a vibe these past few months. The production combined with Joyce's vocals makes this so good! |

After the busy summer I had, I finally got around to listening to this album in like late August I think. This album is kind of similar to Renaissance where I have a different song or 2 that I get into every few weeks it feels like haha. Ojitos Lindos is really just a nice chill beach song imo. |

Similar to what I just said for The Lightning, this was nice to listen to during the beginning of the year. It has cooled on me since release, but definitely one of my favorite year end hits that he has had. |

I loved listening to The Joke in 2019, but I remember hearing Right On Time from her new album for the 2021 AAA rankdown and not being too sold on it. Here's yet another madness discovery, thanks to singingrulebritannia this time. My mom and I have been talking about CMAT quite a bit this year and actually ended up seeing her perform live in October which was so fun! She's got such a fun vibe.
