Hello y'all, and welcome to my year end countdown for 2022! While I still have one more chart to post on Friday, I figured I would make this thread now [partially to let anyone else that wants to be tagged let me know]. I plan to post my top 100 songs of the year, and I *might* also post my top albums too if I'm up for it.

2022 was a rough year for me I can't lie. While I've been dealing with different personal things going on in my life, music has kind of been there for me in different ways - as an escape from the hardships, as a way to have fun, and as a reminder to be thankful for the people and things in my life, for example. As this year went on, the music being released/that I was discovering continued to get better and made this year an undeniably great time for music. I definitely have a lot of music that has shaped the year for me!

Just barely making the cutoff is a song from Kilo Kish! Really just love how interesting her songs are, this song's production is super cool especially.

Next we have Charli XCX! I'll admit, Crash was a bit hard to get into at first as it didn't have the same vibe that I love from her. But over the year, I've grown to enjoy a lot of the songs from this album. Thank you to reputainbow for sending this for STM which helped me get into listening to this more!

Another STM song, thank you to filthy for sending this for madness! This kind of snuck in at the last moment but I'm glad it did haha (also the drop-off at the end is due to Wrapped/SZA dominating my charts). I really just love how this song sounds, it just works so well.

Ok so, I normally am not a big fan of this band. Something about this song though just really clicked for me when I heard it. It's got a really nice composition and like hits a bit on an emotional level.

One of my madness picks this year, and one of multiple songs from The Marías to appear on this list! I have so many highlights from this album, it's so good. Heavy is so enticing to me in its more simplistic sound, combined with the dreaminess of her voice and the instrumental.

This song is just a nice and simple bop. Tkay Maidza being on it definitely helps me to enjoy it more, even if it isn't close to the best song from her lol.

Kind of like the last song, H.E.R. being on this probably helped with me enjoying it even if it isn't her best. It's a fun bop though, just nice to listen to!

One of the highlights from this album imo. I saw this album pop up as a recommendation for me a while back so I decided to check it out and really liked it. The chill jazz fusion vibes are amazing, and Anderson's feature really makes this solid. I wonder if this would've done better in WTM if I had sent it instead of TWO SHRiMPS...

Ok so this song kind of gives me "end credits in a high school rom com" vibes, but like in a good way? Really good vibes here.

Saw them live twice this year, and both times I had a blast! Just really love their lyricism, the instrumental, and just the overall good time I have listening to this (as well as other songs from them).

Yes, I did chart a Minions: Rise Of Gru song from my favorite artist and no, I won't be going into further reason why.

Honestly I didn't appreciate this song enough when it was first released years ago, but this 10 minute version clicked with me so much. Her lyricism really stands out in All Too Well.

I wasn't sure if I should post his songs here or not but figured I'd do it since they did make my year end list at the beginning of the year. I haven't listened to his songs though since the allegations came out because I just feel really weird about it all, but I do like Tyler's part here.
