Definitely one of my favorites from Rico Nasty. I know that Pulse Music Board is not the biggest Rico fan, but she definitely deserves more love. This song straight up slaps, that beat alone is infectious.

Coming in at #10 is the 2nd song from Amber Mark! I really got into this after March Madness/listening to the album and for a bit this was seeming to be my favorite from the album. Just really great r&b music!

Here at #9 we see one of my March Madness picks! Low key one of the best country songs ever I fear. But honestly I feel like I haven't fully clicked with all of Orville Peck's music but this song is just so damn good. We love gay cowboy music

This legit has one of the best beats I've heard in the past year. It's an amazing banger and probably in my top 5 of the album Mercurial World rn. Also this music video is iconic, I love the imagery.

I listened to Juno at the beginning of the year and there were a couple of standouts, with this being one of them. Where I really vibe with this song is in the chorus, something about the way Remi sings it just sounds so nice!

Honestly my favorite 2022 year end hit that was not released in the 80s. I've known Steve Lacy for a few years now so it's super cool to see him get an actual smash hit! This song deserves all the praise it gets.

Honestly this might be a contender for my personal SOTY? Legit so addicting and catchy, and just 6 minutes of pure entertainment. The beat is infectious and Beyoncé's vocal performance might be her strongest yet. I forgot to add a * to say this is still charting, but it might be a similar case to my #14 () where it sticks around well into the 2023 chart year. Also probably Beyoncé's best song and best album I fear.

At #4 we have what I would consider to be my favorite song from Amber Mark! The production slaps and Amber's voice just sounds so damn good here (though lbr her voice sounds good in all of her songs haha).

If I'm being completely honest, the first time I listened to this I was high so I wouldn't be surprised if that helped make this click for me more haha. But the last like minute of this song was where I really connected to this, there's some element in the production/vocals that reminds me of something but I don't entirely know what lmao. I just love it though and love Lizzy, who has been an artist that I've grown to love more and more in recent years.

This is honestly my favorite rap song of the year! Denzel rarely misses, he just has so many bangers. I don't know what else to say really but yeah I love this song so much

We have officially reached the final song in my year end countdown, my #1 of 2022 even if it's a song from 2019 lol. While this song didn't debut on my personal chart until the second half of the year, the impact this made on me was strong enough to make it my #1 of the year. I have found myself listening to and humming this song an insane amount because it is just so good. There's a feeling of like nostalgia that I love, but also it's a song that like so many people I've interacted with this year have also loved so it just felt like something that I could connect to others with. I'm glad this song blew up because I wouldn't have discovered it otherwise haha.
