Damn so Nicki debuts at 13 without Morgan… even with the album drip I expected over 1m for the follow up to her biggest hit in a decade lol it’s not the follow up . Likkle Miss and Love On The Way were after SFG and they tanked both of those weren’t singles (although i am not sure that rrds is a proper single either) |

Because there's no way SFG is bigger than Tusa, Swalla, Bang Bang, FEFE or Side To Side SFG is somewhat of a Tik Tok hit and those usually don't do anything for the followups |

It was Bleu's single and Likkle Miss was Skengs song and she remixed it. It was never sent to radio lol, just a simple remix.
RRDS is a buzz/street single as she previously mentioned. Of course it was going to be overshadowed by Wallen, but we'll see how it performs 🤷🏾

I'm honestly underwhelmed by Morgan's performance on Spotify, I was expecting multiple songs with over 2m+ with the way he was hyped up. It might be a record for a male country artist, but can we really limit the comparisons to just other country artists given the level of success Dangerous has maintained? His total number is also simply because he has more than twice the songs of normal-length albums, and other than Last Night, none of the individual songs are pulling huge numbers.

Bad Habit chart run is so unfortunate and chaotic 😭😭he had to deal with the drake album bomb, the taylor swift album bomb, and christmas songs.. all of which took him out of the top 10 for 6 weeks. Now bad habit is going recurrent way too early because of the morgan album bomb. But hey, at least it went number 1 🥳

Morgan really doesn't have a market outside the US, Canada and Australia lol. Says a lot about the global reach of country music. I think "Last Night" will slightly change that for Morgan. But country music just isn't a worldwide genre. Surprised his album is even showing up in Top 100 lists in countries like Sweden, Mexico, Colombia and China. |

Some very early thoughts on Last Night #1 potential. I put this together which shows how different singles over the past year have fared when their accompanying album drops.  There are a lot of ways this could go, depending on how the album holds on different platforms throughout the week. But, I would expect Last Night's streams to be somewhere in the +40-80% range vs last week (or 40-52M). It will be tough for Kill Bill to compete, as the "low-end" of Wallen's likely range now ls looking like around 300 points. Last Night is most likely to be #1 this week. |

85la I think you might be underestimating how hard it is to debut with 500K+ units in today's music market. Maybe Olivia does it with her next album, maybe she doesn't. I personally don't see her ever topping the overall success of SOUR. She'll most likely score a bigger debut week than SOUR with her next album but she'll find it very difficult to replicate the success of SOUR's singles imo. It's similar to how Taylor might score a bigger first week than 1989 with future albums but she'll never have that many hit singles off one album ever again. Same goes for Adele with 21, Drake with Scorpion, Ed Sheeran with Divide, etc. This whole post is right on. I think she gets 500K, but man is it hard to get multiple 'real' hits from one album these days and even harder to replicate it with a follow up. Olivia is young enough it could happen, but I'd say the odds may still be 50/50. |

She basically needs to have all tracks over 2 million on Spotify for whole week. Also, not necessarily trying to equate her to Sam Smith or Lizzo but we've seen how acts have scored massive singles that spent a long time in the top 10 (thanks mostly to radio) drop albums that didn't do any real damage on the charts. Same thing happened with Ed Sheeran with the Equals era. I think that's what will happen with Miley as well. The Bangerz era will remain her commercial peak. I can see Flowers getting a massive boost following the release of the album but that's about it. I don't think she's gonna have any sort of significant album bomb on the Hot 100 following the release of her album and it's almost certain that Morgan will block her from debuting at #1 on the Billboard 200. |

I think it's a combination of Flowers being a fairly new single (it's barely been 8 weeks since it got released) and Miley knowing thats there's a slim chance a second single does nearly as much damage as Flowers is doing. It's her first real solo hit record in a decade. I'm not surprised she's not in a hurry to move on to another single. |
