Sales were further reduced in Hot 100 formula at the end of the last year due to the metric becoming more out of touch. Nothing was filtered out, 33K just isn't enough to chart now.
The predictors had the sales predicted at 32K and didn't have it charting in the final Hot 100 prediction.
1K sales = 1 point now, and a song would've needed over 40K+ sales to chart with no radio/streaming this week.

I'm guessing this is the next single off SOS.

I'm guessing this is the next single off SOS. could be. but I think there's a video for "Low" ready to go, too, which moves up 92-83 this week in its 14th week charting as well. (peak: #17)

I am hoping both Escapism and Until I Found You reach new peaks, within the top 20. Also, next week I expect Kali Uchis' Moonlight to enter the Billboard Hot 100.

I wonder when sales will be done away with as a component chart, I doubt it’ll ever go away (nor should it) but like how they don’t make the physical single chart after high school musical domination during its death, the digital sales chart will go away after right wing K-pop domination during its death

Digital sales are dead but not to that level yet, the cutoff on the chart is usually 1.5-2k currently. The chart probably won't go away for a good handful of years at least.

Hmm, not that I'm disappointed or want the song to chart AT ALL, but 32k is still a pretty substantial figure, and with it being #1 in sales, seems like it should at least chart somewhere on the Hot 100, even if it has zero in the other metrics. That to me seems like the formula is broken and sales might be too heavily down-weighted.

with Lift Me Up, Rihanna is now the female artist with the most songs charting for at least 20 weeks. Cheers and Russian Roulette are her only top 10s with less than 20 weeks.
Artists with at least 30 songs:
# of songs with 20+ weeks / overall entries
Drake 78 / 293 (26,6%) Lil Wayne 57 / 184 (30,9%) Chris Brown 46 / 114 (40,3%) Rihanna 44 / 63 (69,8%) Nicki Minaj 43 / 126 (34,1%) Taylor Swift 37 / 188 (19,6%) Jay-Z 32 / 105 (30,4%)
some of the artists with at least 20 songs:
Usher 28, Kanye 28, Mariah 27, Beyonce 26, Future 25, Maroon 5 24, Justin Bieber 22, P!nk 22, Ariana Grande 21, The Weeknd 20
*remixes are counted

Morgan had 27 songs stay on?! So this week ties Drake then for the second most chart entries in a single week, right? Actually 28. So he holds the two top weeks on his own.

So "Justice For All" ended up at #4 on Bubbling Under. Miley got her revenge for it unseating her from #1 on iTunes by preventing it from charting on the H100.

Is "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" even considered country in the first place?

Is "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" even considered country in the first place? Admittedly the beginning of true Pop Star Taylor, but it made Top 20 on Country airplay and was nominated for a few Country awards, so I'd say yes.

I think Spotify/streaming platform's algorithm made this possible besides album track listing. This era is the worst for chart watchers sadly. And this is a sign that streaming platform can be manipulated this way besides playlisting.

Yes. Selena, Taylor and Miley on top 10! Also Rock and A Hard Place was robbed. Fr. Why Billboard let You Proof get another week in the top 10 but let that get stuck at 11 is behind me. #46. Meghan Trainor - Made You Look (+11) got to 21 weeks since it moved back into the top 50. And then will promptly and probably leave next week.

Taylor Swift - We Are Never Ever
I wouldn't call that a country song
Although it was #1 on Hot Country Songs, it came out right at the start of Hot Country Songs being a subset of Hot 100 and taking in all-genre data
It did though get a quick blast of country airplay though while there was still some confusion about Taylor Swift the country singer and Taylor Swift the pop star, but then fell quickly
country airplay chart run

And every era has had it's own share of 'manipulation', let's bffr Anyways, that's the only thing I'll say about this topic before this drags into an weird argument

I do think it was a fluke and she'll go back to the D List, but good for her for getting some non- Title coins
