The vault tracks are all great, plus the originals are some of her most iconic songs. This should do some damage!

I like the album but it will not last long like Speak Now TV earlier this year.
Unrelated but I hope Taylor Swift doesn't work with Jack Antonoff for her next new album. She needs grand and high-scale productions for a mega pop star like her. An alternative rock album wouldn't be too bad for Taylor though.

She needs grand and high-scale productions for a mega pop star like her. An alternative rock album wouldn't be too bad for Taylor though. 1989 o.g. has been consistently in the top 20 this year so it will last longer in the top 10. Taylor is already working with Jack for her next album. She has been constantly going to the studio with him. She clearly loves working with him and feels like he gives her creative freedom that other producers don't. Jack has produced a ton of classic Taylor songs such as Cruel Summer, August, Anti-Hero. I do hope that she has an additional producer on her next album to have a bit more variety that Midnights. But Jack does great work even through he is overexposed.

1989 is gonna be massive. Iβm betting on style and blank space both making the top 5.

Looks like 1989 might prevent Halloween music from re-entering this year

I asked in two different Discord servers to see if anyone else thought so and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the vault songs sounded more like they came from Midnights than 1989. They're not bad but writing wise only Say Don't Go or Is It Over Now? sounded like they could've been on 1989. The rest - especially 'Slut!' sound like they were were not written by Taylor in 2014.

I can definitely see Thriller re-entering the Hot 100 this week. Anything beyond that, in spite of the extra tracking day this year, I'm not so sure.

I donβt understand people saying style sounds bad. It sounds essentially the same as the og even slightly better.

sorry, but the only interesting thing about Slut! is the title...I mean, it's fine but definitely not good for a focus track imo. Say Don't Go is a bop tho.

When will people learn? Never pre-order a TS album! At some point, this *strategy* is going to backfire.
Granted digital sales don't matter as much, but it's a terrible practice that disincentivizing the fans who bother to pre-order months in advance. Stop, Slvt!

Slut! isn't a great single, but doesn't mean it's not a great song. Still, it's a head scratcher for why it was picked as the track to be pushed, other than the provocative title.
I'm super curious to see how things shake out this week. I would say that the beloved original singles would be likely to debut higher than the vault tracks, but they seem pretty polarizing. Still, I bet we get at least 3-4 tracks in the top ten. But it will be funny to see 'Cruel Summer' blocking the other Taylor songs this week, which I'm now guessing is what happens.

Maybe but also the cuts that sounded like they came from the Midnights Sessions...well they sound like leftovers. And typically, the vault songs have a high standard so disappointing only 2 really stood out.

Itβs still gonna do numbers but Iβd DIE of laughter if CS remains at 1.
