50. Respect My Cryppin' - Blueface

Born in Los Angeles, Johnathan Porter played football in high school and briefly in college. He started rapping using the name Blueface Bleedem, which is reference to his ties to the Crips gang. His 2018 single "Respect My Cryppin'" went viral due to its music video, and led to him signing with Cash Money West, the West Coast affiliate of Cash Money Records.

A remix featuring Snoop Dogg was released in 2020.



Blueface has also dabbled in boxing, winning his most recent bout by technical knockout in April 2023.

49. I'm Geekin - DDG

Born in Pontiac, Michigan, Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. started out as a YouTuber. One of his earliest songs, "Big Boat", was a diss track aimed at Lil Yachty. After releasing a series of singles he signed with Epic and scored his first charted entry with "Moonwalking In Calabasas". DDG's most recent single was 2023's "I'm Geekin", which peaked at #33 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart. There are two other versions of the song, one with Luh Tyler and the other a remix featuring NLE Choppa and BIA.

DDG competed in a boxing match against Nate Wyatt, winning by unaninmous decicion in the fifth round.

He is currently dating Halle Bailey.

Born in Boston and raised in Hackensack, New Jersey, Coi Leray Collins started out releasing her songs on YouTube. She eventually landed a deal with the 1801 and Republic labels, and in 2021 released the single "No More Parties". It peaked at #11 on the rap chart, #15 on the R&B/Hip Hop chart, and #26 on the Hot 100. The remix features Lil Durk.

Fun fact: Coi Leray is the daughter of former Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star and former co-owner of The Source magazine, Benzino.

Born and raised in Queens, Kwamé Holland released his debut album in 1989 when he was just 16. His debut single, "The Man We All Know And Love", peaked at #2 on the rap chart and #33 on the soul chart. Samples "I'm Gonna Love Just a Little More Baby" by Barry White, "Lovin' You" by Minnie Riperton, "Do The Funky Penguin" by Rufus Thomas, "Is You Is Or Is You Ain't (Ma Baby)" by Louis Jordan & His Tympany Five, and "Three Of These Things Belong Together" by Joe Raposo and Jeff Moss.

Kwamé is now known primarily as a producer, sometimes under the name K-1 Million, working with artists like LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige, Lloyd Banks, Missy Elliott, and Keyshia Cole. In 2015 he founded the label Make Noise Recordings and signed Vivian Green, who scored R&B hits with "Get Right Back To My Baby" and "Grown Folks Music (Work)".

Every new painfully unfunny joke and annoying attempt at voice acting/impressions dropped this further down my ranking, and considering the track is over 6 minutes long, that's a lot of obnoxious shit to endure. The song was my last place by miles after it was done.

Born and raised in The Bronx, Tione Merritt got his start releasing his music on SoundCloud. His 2018 single "Brothers" is considered his breakthrough. It received millions of streams on SoundCloud, cracked the charts in Canada, and led to him signing with Columbia.

Lil Tjay was shot seven times during an attempted robbery in 2022. The suspect was arrested on three counts of first-degree attempted murder and three counts of first-degree armed robbery, among other charges.

49. I'm Geekin - DDG: Oooof this poor song didn't fare much better here but at least it got two ranks outsideo f the Bottom 10. Didn't care for this either as this was my #46. I had no idea he was dating Halle Bailey but lucky guy there!

48. No More Parties - Coi Leray: Oooh I'm a little surprised seeing this showing up already. I expected Coi Leray to do a little better than this. But then again, I ranked this song at #43 so it was a little disappointing for me. Not too upset with it showing up though I would have preferred other songs to have shown up first.

95 South was formed in Jacksonville, Florida by AB (Artice Bailey), Daddy Black (Carlos Spencer), and Jay "Ski" McGowan. They're best known for their debut single "Whoot, There It Is". Released in 1993, it peaked at #3 on the rap chart, #7 on the R&B chart, and #11 on the Hot 100, and helped to popularize the Miami bass subgenre of hip hop. It actually hit the charts before a similarly titled song that would be a much bigger hit, "Whoomp! (There It Is)" by Tag Team.

Born in Brooklyn, Adelaida Martinez had her biggest hit in 1986 with "Bang Zoom (Let's Go-Go)". Along with Howie Tee, it peaked at #24 on the soul chart and #11 in the UK. Born in Alabama and raised in Oakland, Charles Bowens started as a member of the duo Dual Committee, which later became a trio called 3X Krazy. He pursued a solo career following the group's breakup, releasing the single "Super Hyphy" in 2005. It peaked at #40 on the rhythmic chart.

Keak Da Sneak is credited for coining the term "hyphy". In 2017 he was shot eight times which left him paralyzed.

41. Nunk (New Wave Funk) - Warp 9

Warp 9 was created in NYC by writer/producers Lotti Golden and Richard Scher. With their usage of the Roland TR-808 drum machine and casio keyboard, they helped to popularize the electro sound in the early days of hip hop. When it came time to release the single "Nunk (New Wave Funk)" in 1982, Golden and Scher brought in Chuck Wansley and Boe Brown to do the vocals. "Nunk" would lead to a deal with Prism Records and was later included on their debut album It's a Beat Wave.

45. Whoot, There It Is- 95 South: Omg phew, I let out a huge sigh of relief that this wasn't my #2, as I know my #2 is really polarizing and I can't predict where that will land. Anywho, I ranked this at #34 which surprises me as I thought I liked this more than my ranking shows. But then again this isn't the song I thought it was and I always think it's a different song lol - which was even mentioned but yess, "Whoomp! (There It Is)." I always get those two confused. This is alright.

44. Bang Zoom (Let's Go-Go) - The Real Roxanne: Ugh nooo, booo not my #17 showing up. I really enjoyed this so it's a bummer that this ranked so low and didn't escape the Bottom 10. :( Also wow at so many rankings in the #42 to #45 spots.

Hi Hater - Maino: Ughh nooooo, I knew my luck would run out but ugh noooo at me losing my Top 5 with my #5 showing up. :'( Y'ALL ARE A BUNCH OF HATERS for ranking this song so low. :'( lmao I'm teasing. But yeah I've always really liked/loved this song ever since it's been out. It's fun, catchy and fun to call out your haters on this, haha. I really thought this would have fared better than this.

Born and raised in Ohio, Michael White IV moved to Atlanta after graduating high school. There he met rapper Lil Wop and began working with him. He eventually landed a deal with Strange Entertainment, and in 2017 released his debut mixtape A Love Letter To You. The lead single, "Love Scars", was first released on SoundCloud where it racked up 13 million views. It also had over 8 million views on YouTube and helped his career take off. Contains samples from the video game Metroid Prime.
