15. Wanna Be a Baller - Lil Troy: Aww noo, sad to see my #10 fall out and just miss making the actual Top 10. :( This was a really fun and catchy jam and I really enjoyed this song was out.Wow that second paragraph is so sad and depressing to read - that's so sad learning of all of those passings from the artists apart of this song. :( Nice that this song didn't have any Bottom 15 ranks.
14. Road To The Riches - Kool G Rap & DJ Polo: Ooh oops, I didn't realize I had a #24 still remaining, oops. This is another one of those songs I'm not familiar with but with a midplace ranking, it was probably just okay for me but not a major favorite of mine.
13. Be a Father To Your Child - Ed O.G. & Da Bulldogs: Oooh joy... now I lose yet another Top 10 song, this time this being my #7. :( I wasn't familiar with this while listening to it but with me ranking this at #7, it was one of my favorite new discoveries. I really liked this one a lot and sad to see it just miss the Top 10. Now I'm down to two Top 10s, hopefully those can make it to the Top 10.
12. Norf Norf - Vince Staples: Oooh yayy finally my #45 is out and my Bottom 10 is cleared. I'm happy about that. Didn't really know this and while listening to this here but didn't care for this, sadly, hence the low rank. But well done to the fans of this song getting this song this high.
11. Heaven & Hell - Raekwon: Oops at me being the only Bottom 20 ranking for this song, which this being my #37. This was okay but didn't make a major impact on me.
I got the following left: 3, 6 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 31, 35, 36
Yeahh I am really not doing that well at all. I'll be most happy with either my #3 or #6 winning but even would be okay with my #11 winning. But I'm thinking one of my lower remaining ranked songs will win.

Welcome back! We kick off the Top 10 with the song that has the 5th lowest SD. Only one of you will lose a Top 10, but it's a Top 5. On the flip side, just one person will lose a bottom half ranking.

He would eventually sign with Jive Records and had his biggest hit in 1990 with "The Ghetto". 9. The Power - Chill Rob GBorn in Jersey City, New Jersey, Robert Frazier got his start as a member of the Flavor Unit collective. His 1989 debut album Ride The Rhythm includes the song "The Power" which was later copied without permission by German group Snap! on their song of the same name. It was remixed and released in Europe in early 1990, and was an international smash. When Wild Pitch wanted to release the song in the US, Chill Rob G gave his consent, and it was credited as Power Jam featuring Chill Rob G. This version peaked at #57 on the R&B chart and samples "Love's Gonna Get You" by Jocelyn Brown, "King Of The Beats" by Mantronix, and Chill Rob G's "Let The Words Flow". The much more well-known version by Snap! with different lyrics was released by Arista months later. It finished at #59 in part 2 of this series. Apologies to B-Boy... After touring with J. Cole and Wale and later Danny Brown, he released his debut single "Down On My Luck" in 2014. It peaked at #37 in the UK. Fun fact: Vic was classmates with Chance The Rapper. 6. Jam On It - NewcleusThe first incarnation of this group was formed in Brooklyn by Ben "Cozmo D" Cenac and his cousins Pierre "Pete" and Monique "Nique D" Angevin and was called Jam-On Productions. Pete would later leave, and two new members would take his place, Bob "Chilly B" Crafton (who would marry Nique D) and Yvette "Lady E" Cook (who would marry Cozmo D). The group's name was changed to Newcleus. Later joined by Denise "Niecy D" Williams, they had their biggest hit in 1984 with "Jam On It" which peaked at #9 on the soul chart. Chilly B passed away from a stroke in 2010. Apologies to 🇯🇲 dollybaby 🇯🇲... 10. The Ghetto - Too $hort: I wasn't too familiar with this song but I did really enjoy this and enough so to give it a #13 ranking. Nice to see that this song didn't have any Bottom 20 rankings as that's such a rare thing to accomplish, haha. So for this to have the 5th lowest SD isn't too surprising.
9. The Power - Chill Rob G: Ughh so gross that this song shows up, as this was my favorite song left of the Top 10, as this was my #3, so ughh nooo I am just not too pleased with this showing up now. :'( But yayyy for B-Boy, Soulsista and 🇯🇲 lucy88 🇯🇲 all ranking this classic jam in their Top 3 rankings! This is such a fun classic jam and I absolutely love it! Also very happy that this was at least able to make the Top 10 as most of my Top 10 didn't, lol. Now I just got my #6 left of this Top 10.
8. Down On My Luck - VIC MENSA: Well, yayy at least I lose one of my bottom 20 rankings, even if it's my highest one of the three - which is my #31. I wasn't too big on this song but it was fine/okay enough for me.
7. Awnaw - Nappy Roots: Ahh I do feel bad for ranking this song so low at #35. But yay for another Bottom 20 loss. This is one of the few songs I am very familiar with and remember it well. Sadly I was never really a huge fan of this and yeah I see I am in the minority there. I don't know why but this just never really grabbed or caught onto me.
6. Jam On It - Newcleus: Dang I was hoping to clear out my #36 before we got to the Top 5 but oh well. At least my second lowest ranked song goes out, which is my #16. This is another song I wasn't familiar with but I did enjoy this.
I got the following left: 6 11, 12, 15 36
Despite losing my #3, at least this was a bit of a better set for me as I lost most of my lower ranked songs. Just gotta make sure my #36 doesn't win, which it very well could win, lmaoo.

4. Clint Eastwood - GorillazFormed in London by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz also consist of four fictional members: 2-D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle, and Russel Hobbs. In 2001 they released their debut single "Clint Eastwood", named after the actor. With Albarn singing the chorus and Del The Funky Homosapien rapping, it peaked at #3 on the alternative airplay chart and hit #1 in Italy. Their latest album Cracker Island was released in February 2023. It's been nominated for a Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album. Apologies to singingrulebritannia and Ivy Leegue™... Here we go, the final two... 2. Mass Appeal - Gang StarrGang Starr was originally formed by Guru (Keith Elam), Big Shug (Cary Guy), and Shug's brother DJ Suave D (Dana Guy). Shug eventutally went to prison and DJ Suave D quit, so Guru recruited new members MC Damo D-Ski and DJ 1, 2 B-Down. After releasing a few singles, the group split up a second time. Guru soon met up with DJ Premier (Christopher Martin) and invited him to join Gang Starr. Their 1994 single "Mass Appeal" peaked at #10 on the rap chart, #42 on the R&B chart, and was their first Hot 100 entry. Samples "Horizon Drive" by Vic Juris and Pete Rock's remix of "Pass Da Mic" by Da Youngsta's. It's been featured in the video game Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. In 2010 Guru suffered a heart attack and fell into a coma. He passed away two months later. And now, the #1... only two people had this outside their Top 10! 1. International Players Anthem (I Choose You) - UGK feat. OutkastFrom Port Arthur, Texas, UGK (or Underground Kingz) was formed by Pimp C (Chad Butler) and Bun B (Bernard Freeman). They signed with Jive in 1992 and released their debut studio album Too Hard To Swallow. The duo also gained attention from appearances on songs like "Big Pimpin'" by Jay-Z. Their biggest hit came in 2007 with the release of "International Players Anthem (I Choose You)". The song, which features Outkast, peaked at #10 on the rap chart and #12 on the R&B chart. Contains a sample of "I Choose You" by Willie Hutch and received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance By a Duo or Group. Just months after the song's release, Pimp C was found dead in his hotel room in California. UGK's final album UGK 4 Life was released in 2009. 5. Who Got Da Props? - Black Moon: Ooh lol of course not my #36 shows up... but instead my #12. Eh it could have been worse though, lol. This is one of those songs that i don't think I heard before or really remembered if I did? But I did really like it enough to give it a #12 ranking. Well done to this making it so high. 4. Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz: Oooh wow I think I was kinda expecting this song to win or at least make it to the Top 3. :o I do really like this song a lot and enough so to rank it at #11. I actually wouldn't have been mad about this winning if it did. It's a fun and really cool song. 3. Collard Greens - ScHoolboy Q feat. Kendrick Lamar: Oooh phew, glad to see my #36 get revealed right before the Top 2 as I was fearing this could have pulled out the win. I would not have been surprised if it did. The stats are impressive with two #1s and 8 Top 10 ranks.Anyway, I wasn't really that big on this. Kendrick is good and cool on this as usual but I didn't really care for ScHoolboy Q's part or most of the song as a whole. I just ended up preferring most of the other songs over this. 2. Mass Appeal - Gang Starr: This is a good jam but it's another one of those songs that I wasn't really too familiar with. I guess just a bit before my time like a number of songs I wasn't aware of. I did like it and liked it enough to give it a #15 ranking. But of the two songs, I'm glad this didn't win, lol. But very impressive seeing this song get 3 #1 rankings. 1. International Players Anthem (I Choose You) - UGK feat. Outkast: Oooh nicee I'm so glad this song pulled out the win! This is my #6 so I was rooting for this song to win it once "The Power" got eliminated. I didn't think this had a shot as the songs I really liked or loved did not do too well here but glad this defied the odds. This is a really fun jam! I love what all of UGK and Outkast bring to this song. I've always really enjoyed it and it still sounds good today. Nice to see this song getting 3 #1s, 9 Top 5 rankings and most of its rankings in the Top 10, as it deserves! This was probably my worst showing of the hip-hop rankdown so I don't want to dwell on that, lmao. But at least it endede on a high note for me. This was yet another wonderful rankdown hosted from SoulSista! Thank you so much for hosting this and looking forward to your next game(s) - which I hope goes better for me, haha.
