Anyone has updated totals on all her albums? I'm guessing this is still tracking above Midnights which is insane. Here are a few: Tortured Poets: 4.150 Million (including this week's estimate) 1989 (Taylor's Version): 3.567 MillionMidnights: 7.326 Million Lover: 7.469 MillionMidnights stood at 2.336 Million after 5 weeks (selling 140k to TTPD's 180k), so yes, Tortured Poets is tracking almost double of Midnights. Lover could've been diamond at this point had "Cruel Summer" lead the project IMO.

Not to mention the fact that Lover is outselling Midnights right now so it will probably outsell it overall... crazy resurgence. Add 1 more copy to 1989 TV btw. I really wanted to finally own one of her albums on physical format and mine just shipped and I should get it soon. ![:w00t:](//storage.proboards.com/1258812/images/0uStgtCbKlTtuGiusKmo.gif) Kinda bummed to find out it's the Blue Sky version with the poster and not the polaroids but oh well.

Is Lover only ahead of it because "Cruel Summer"? Not sure how album tracking works.

Is it because they wanna wait till they completely slow down so they don't have to send it again?

Feeling less bad for Billie with the whole Taylor blocks Billie debacle the more I listen to her recent interviews. I watched her latest Apple Music interview and in it she goes on about how long albums are unnecessary, that "no one wants a 16 track album, and how she hates when she knows who a song is about and that people can listen to every lyric like "OMG they did THAT?" and how you shouldn't know who someone is writing about/what a song is about, how it isn't good when it's obvious and this and that. Basically she threw several, what easily could be interpreted as, shots at Taylor (given her art is notorious for that) and she's really the only artist I can think of whose music you can easily do that with. Like, girl, you're relatively new to the game and are coming across hella judgemental and pretentious. Just wait until you're 2 decades into your career. Just make art you like and write music in a style that works for you without feeling the need to criticise other artists for their style or suggesting you somehow have found the "right" way to craft art better than others. I'm sure this along with all the other shady remarks she's made lately probably got back to Taylor and that's why Taylor retaliated in the blway she did.
It just reminds me of so much unnecessary sh*t Taylor has to take for her music when she's not doing anything differently than literally any other songwriter, she's just been more vocal/honest about it. Add that to the fact she's always been supportive/glowing of Billie and it's like, yeah, a bit sad.
People can look at Taylor all day and night like she's petty or immature, but they have no idea what her mindset is after being under such an intense microscope of criticism all her life, feeling like the "uncool" kid, and having people pick at you needlessly or others come for you who you've always shown support to. Most wouldn't always take it lying down.
I'm not claiming she is a victim whatsoever, or even that Billie is a villain, before anyone twists what I'm saying, I just empathize with Taylor's position and think she's well-within her right to react off these things and her actions aren't as unfounded/out of left field as some make them out to be.

As a Billie stan, that is fair. Either way, Taylor stays on top and always winning!

6th consecutive week on the BB200. I haven't looked at the release schedules in awhile, but how long can we estimate this lasts at #1?

She hasn't done most of the Anthology yet as surprise songs lol. So we could be looking at another 15+ variants if this continues.

I am so fucking bitter that she didn’t just do this lmfao. I hate that this is fake, although I have to wonder how this was packaged so realistically, down to the lyric booklet. (You’ll have to slow the speed to 0.25x as this person blazed through the unboxing for whatever reason)

Looks like she has a 7th Week coming at #1 on The Billboard Top 200 Chart. A great run!

Labels have to pay for certification and so do it for marketing purposes.
Not really necessary during peak Taylor.
Also nowadays only diamond certifications get real publicity so they might wait for midnights and lover to reach that.

Is certification of her first six albums in the hands of Big Machine? . Yes, that is the label those albums are on. They haven't updated any of her BMR work since March 2020, excluding "Babe" in February 2023. Prior to that was July 2018.

For the first year or so it seemed like 'Midnights' would eventually outpace 'Lover', but basically since 'Cruel Summer' hit airwaves 'Midnights' has failed to have enough weeks ahead to bridge the gap. Now 'Lover' is ahead every week by a comfortable margin and will most likely remain so.
Labels just don't care about certifications any more, sadly. A shame, because if she could re-do her whole catalogue in one go (I believe an artist could personally pay for/request certifications), it would be an absolutely massive uptick. A NYT article recently suggest that 1989 OG could be certified as high as 14x platinum, while it's presently stuck at 9x.
While I am much more comfortable speculating laziness, perhaps they are waiting to do in one fell swoop that gives her the title of 'most certified female artist'.

If any artist would be on it about updating their certs I would think it would be Taylor (no shade).

At this point, do we think Taylor is going for the record of the most initial consecutive weeks at # for an album?

At this point, do we think Taylor is going for the record of the most initial consecutive weeks at # for an album? Westside Story soundtrack has 29 consecutive weeks. I think Taylor is trying to get to 100 career weeks at #1 for billboard. She is at 70 right now . Beatles have 132 so might not be possible to catch.

Does anyone even know what's the record "from the debut"?
TTPD has a loooooong way to go to any kind of record I would think. Morgan Wallen's latest spent 12 weeks last year.
