I'd laugh so hard if all this variant drama was her twisted little way of beginning promo for Reputation TV

I am okay with Taylor and Billie (friendly) battling for #1. However, all these tactics seems rather unfriendly (especially the shady likes from Billie's manager). There is a difference between trying to get #1 and what I presume will be a "Bad Blood" but this time about Billie. They've been friendly in the past so I hope this does not extend past this week. Could be reading into the things but it really does feel that way. I mean Billie bringing David Albarn on stage after he shaded Taylor and then someone being caught on the hot mic saying “Taylor is going to sue them” PLUS Billie’s indirect yet shady comments about variants and worrying about numbers is enough for Taylor to push for #1 in my book. Some people are acting like Taylor is abusing a child by aiming for #1. lol Billie is a grown adult who made grown adult statements and now she’s looking like a huge hypocrite for doing EXACTLY what she was shading other artists for. How rich! Billie Eilish is not responsible for Damon Albarn’s thoughts on Taylor Swift, nor should she be held accountable for what her brother says. Her “indirect shade” must’ve struck a nerve with Taylor, despite it being aimed at the industry as a whole. Clairo just announced an album and already has seven vinyl variants up for sale. This is an industry-wide thing, not a Taylor thing, and yet the industry isn’t the one fighting back against Billie, it’s the 34-year-old who should know better than to engage in beef started by stan accounts.

Or maybe no nerves were struck and she's just being Taylor by trying to keep a hold at #1 and not being Taylor by being petty.

Either way it's an assumption at intent so I guess we really don't know.

Billie Eilish is not responsible for Damon Albarn’s thoughts on Taylor Swift, nor should she be held accountable for what her brother says. Her “indirect shade” must’ve struck a nerve with Taylor, despite it being aimed at the industry as a whole. I don't think it's just the Billboard interview, but also the other things mentioned as well. It's cumulative and Taylor strikes me as someone who overthinks/analyzes everything. Still, why is it so hard for some to imagine she'd rightfully feel some type of way? They both know the industry inside out. They know artists speak with intention, because they're trained to do so, and they know the media is always looking to pit women against each other. Billie is certainly not naive to that, so why wouldn't Taylor be frustrated if she felt an artist whom she's always had glowing things to say about is taking subtle digs at her publicly for seemingly no reason? I'm not justifying or making excuses for her reaction (as we know how vindictive and petty Taylor can be), but it shouldn't be hard for anyone to understand why she might take issue with it. You wouldn't think so, at least on Pulse, given reaction to Taylor releasing variants verses other artists indulging in the exact same thing.

I just see these extra tracks that Taylor has released this week as Bonus tracks for the album and Taylor is not the only one doing this year. Ariana Grande did a thousand versions of her singles this year to get them at #1 over a Jack Harlow song earlier this year.

The difference is, you would have to buy the same album three times over to get all three bonus tracks. That’s $18 for three versions, or $5.99 for one version, versus $0.69 each for the “Yes, And?” remixes.

The fact it’s three distinct albums too rather than one with all three. She isn’t releasing this ‘for the fans’, it’s clearly a tactic to game the charts and extract as much money as she can. I’m so sick of it, it’s slowly starting to turn me off of her And if I read one more person saying “just don’t buy it!”, like that’s the point, I’ll scream

Does she not realize these petty chart wars hurt her image as a whole? Far more important then getting this fifth week at #1 or whatever.
Maybe her and team don't realize how publicized these chart wars are these days. They're pretty much shoved in your face on TikTok if you're a fan of either artist. Chart-watching not a niche audience anymore.

I wonder if many are taking the timing and content of releases from the roll-out of this era a little too personally. I don't think for a minute she purposely sets out to sabotage other female recording artists as they release new material. Where has anyone read anything about Taylor having any ill will towards any of them? Nowhere because she doesn't do that, she never has. She had beef with Katy Perry, but that was personal and she kept the details of whatever it was between them out of the press, I respect that.
Some of her fans want the extras she keeps releasing. If "some people" read something negative about her giving them what they want, that's a "some people" problem, not hers.

Rolling Stone just ranked "Mean" the #20 greatest country song of all time and before ranked Fearless the #10 country album of all time effectively making both the highest ranking country song and album of the 21st century. Not sure I agree with that, but hey, a win is a win!

I don't think I listened to Mean more than maybe once until the Speak Now TV was released... then I blitzed it like it was her new single. A smash.

We've only just stopped getting "Karma is a Cat" thrown at us fans as an insult/dig at her lyricism, please do not unleash the TTPD title track to the general public or we'll never hear the end of it. I am not a fan (or hater!) of Taylor and I actually love the "karma is a cat, purring on my lap cause it loves me" line. Whenever my adorable cat purrs on my lap giving me love and comfort I think about that line. My cat doesn't do that for my jerk roommate LOL and he's missing out. It's a great line IMO LOL!

I'm guessing I'm the only one who wasn't a fan of "Karma" just in general. Throw it away for all I care. lol

The Tortured Poets Department passed 3 billion streams, the fastest album to do so. It also should pass the 4 million mark in domestic SPS next week. :)

Supposedly according to the Nostradamus guy on Twitter Taylor already has a video filmed for "Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me".
I think a visual could be fantastic for this song, but I don't want it as a single. lol Maybe a visual only like "Bejeweled".

I went to the Lisbon show yesterday, which would be my third time seeing the Eras Tour and it’s seriously as captivating every single time. What a show, what a tour de force, what an artist.

Sadly, I have to sell my tickets to the London show. ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) I had a falling out with the friend I was supposed to go with, but I might use the money I get to buy Toronto tickets.
