The numbers are speaking for themselves. Whether or not you feel the album or current work is up to par, the work is clearly connecting with a large group of people.

An artist not doing huge numbers doesn’t mean they aren’t brilliant, and just because an artist is doing huge numbers doesn’t mean the work is fantastic, but the numbers do prove that a ton of people feel differently than you do about this album.

So yeah, your arguments still aren’t making sense to me.

Yeah, agreed. I think its been well-established on this forum that TTPD isn't everyone's cup of tea and that's fine, but people are conflating personal taste with public reception/commercial success. You don't like the album or song, fine, but they're clearly reasonating with a large group of people (particularly the album). "Fortnight" is absolutely a hit no matter which way you slice or dice it and its parent album is an absolute beast commercially. You can hold your opinion and still acknowledge the facts at hand. 🤷‍♀️ For instance, dance pop isn't my flavor of music, but you won't see me out here calling Renaissance a "flop".
