She's winning again. Tomorrow is going to be an even bigger update, it might just snowball into a monster. Then she has The Boy Is Mine concurrently doing well and my personal favourite Supernatural serving stability. It's too early to say anything for certain, but this looks like another smash era. Excited to see the radio updates for this! There is absolutely nothing else catchy to make a single after this and The Boy Is Mine. It's a very subdued slow personal project type of album You gotta be kidding?!? “bye” is waving at you!!! “supernatural” too!! |

Happy to see this taking off like it is, after repeated listens to eternal sunshine this is far and away my favorite. The music video was so emotional, and she gutted me when she clung to that pearl necklace. It was so profound to see the two of them in the video walk past one another with not even so much as a passing glance. Talk about storytelling. I hope this takes the #1 on the Hot 100, and reaches the radio penthouse as well. Deserves to be a staple in her discography.
(This song’s video and the track after it, “i wish i hated you,” may or may not have also just inspired a new idea for a novel in my head this morning, lol. I would have to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and then play these two songs afterwards to really study the themes and solidify my ideas, but I already have a title lol.)

This song just like the lead are absolutely rip offs off epic songs. Go girl. Yep this one reminds me some older hits, just have to figure out which ones, so the covered songs will be eventually aknowledged. |

I hope they're reaaaaaal confident in the opening volley on streaming because for a song smashing out the gate this strongly, this takeoff at radio is weaksauce.

The video for this really elevates the song (sorry, it's still just aight as a song though). And the visuals during the SNL performance were cool. Both really effective and shows the power of some well-timed and well put together promo. If only she had given "yes, and?" the tiniest bit of effort.
Looks like she has an international hit on her hands.

Critics keep comparing this song to Call Your Girlfriend, and it's annoying. Lol. Either they've confused that song for Dancing On My Own, or they don't know enough Robyn tracks. If this borrows from anything it's Dancing On My Own (in terms of sentiment, and maybe structure), and the synths from Carly Rae Jepsen's My Type and Call Me Maybe in the last refrain.

i would be surprised if this does not have a higher peak and more longevity than yes and?. that had a radio deal and was the first single after a few years . followups tend to have a slower start.

it got 107 /171 adds this week . this compares to yes and ? which got 162 it's first week as well as 1 add the week before it's release. radio probably waiting to see the reaction after yes and? somewhat under performed .i am sure this will do better in the long run .
