OOOO! "Texas Hold 'Em" getting top 10 on radio songs in about a month! 60M+ in audience numbers by the end of the album release tracking week. Depending on its streaming numbers Texas might challenge for a 3rd week at #1.

Depending on its streaming numbers Texas might challenge for a 3rd week at #1. Well its streaming has fallen way off. It's doing less than 1 million Spotify streams a day now, and it's out of the top 20 on Apple Music. Its airplay can't overcome those declines.

It will have a bigger airplay peak and obviously a big streaming boost from the album dropping.

Break My Soul more than doubled its streaming numbers the week after Renaissance released. Texas might not see this much of an increase, but that doesn’t matter, due to its bigger numbers overall.

Shame Beyoncé didn't release any videos for Renaissance and looking to do the same for Cowboy Carter. Hopefully album release week will boost "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" enough for another week at #1 with its airplay likely being at or near its peak then!

The song was down 11.62% meanwhile Ariana Grande's new single 'we can't be friends' off her new album debuts with 16.3M, nearly enough to unseat Kanye from the top. It'll be interesting to see how it does this upcoming week. This also bumped Beautiful Things down to #3 although it's stabilizing well with only a 2.93% decrease. Interestingly though are two songs that would've reached new peaks in the Top 5 had it not been for Ariana: End of Beginning would've been #4 with a solid bump of 15.78% and Whatever She Wants could've broken into the Top 5 even with a small gain of 3.18%. Also curious is the fact Saturn stayed in the Top 10 as it stabilized with a 7.84% increase. Going into how Ariana performed, yes and? rocketed back up into the Top 10 with a huge gain of 162.54%. She also had three other songs debut in the Top 10 with at least 9.5M streams each. Overall, she debuts with 111M streams for her debut week, a smaller number compared to what she's done before but still enough to unseet Kanye from having the Top Album Bomb of the year so far. Falling out of the top 20 altogether is TEXAS HOLD EM which was down 21.63% in streams although it also making up for these bleeding numbers thanks to airplay gains. Going into our other debuts, we had GloRilla's song debut with surprisingly strong streams - her biggest since Tomorrow 2, a song from country Dasha went viral and took 3.9M streams, and Drake remixed 4batz' date @ 8. The remix debuted with 6.4M and in total, the song had 10.8M which should give it a huge boost amidst the Ariana album bomb. Finally, we saw perhaps one final boost for What Was I Made For? after Billie performed at the Oscars and won her second Oscar for Best Original Song. Notable Gains:yes, and? - 162.54% End of Beginning - 15.78% Scared to Start - 14.74% Rich Girl - 14.41% Where the Wild Things Are - 12.76% What Was I Made For? - 12.43% Sun to Me - 10.51% Oklahoma Smokeshow - 10.25%

Thomas Rhett Brings Home His 20th Country Airplay No. 1 With ‘Mamaw’s House’ Featuring Morgan Wallen "It means that fans are connecting with the music we make," Rhett says, "and that is a feeling that never goes old."
By Jim Asker
03/15/2024
Thomas Rhett’s “Mamaw’s House,” featuring Morgan Wallen, crowns Billboard’s Country Airplay chart (dated March 23). It increased by 13% to 29.4 million audience impressions March 8-14, according to Luminate.
The song marks Rhett’s milestone 20th Country Airplay No. 1 and Wallen’s 11th.
“For me, each No. 1 is incredibly special, but to have 20 on the Billboard chart is really mind-blowing,” Rhett says. “It means that fans are connecting with the music we make, and that is a feeling that never goes old. It means the world to me.”
“House” is on the digital version of Rhett’s 20 Number Ones, which arrived on Top Country Albums at its No. 7 high in October 2023, becoming his seventh top 10. Rhett, who is currently working on a new LP, and Wallen co-wrote the song with Matt Dragstrem and Chase McGill.
Jumping 5-1 on Country Airplay, “House” makes the biggest leap to the summit since Rhett’s last leader, “Angels Don’t Always Have Wings,” flew 6-1 in September 2023. He first reigned with “It Goes Like This” in October 2013.
Rhett ties Brooks & Dunn, Toby Keith and Brad Paisley for the ninth-most Country Airplay leaders, dating to the chart’s 1990 launch. Kenny Chesney leads with 32 No. 1s.
Wallen last topped Country Airplay with “Thinkin’ Bout Me,” which started a five-week command in October 2023. Meanwhile, his “Man Made a Bar” featuring Eric Church pushes 7-6 (23.7 million, up 11%).
‘Outskirts’ Moves In Sam Hunt posts his 12th Country Airplay top 10 as “Outskirts” hops 14-10 (18.8 million, up 22%). The song, which he co-wrote, is his first to reach the region since his Ingrid Andress team-up “Wishful Drinking” hit No. 4 in November 2022.
All charts dated March 23 will update Tuesday, March 19, on Billboard.com.

Just listened to Austin out of curiosity. While it's not as great as the Blake Shelton song, it's still pretty good. Dasha sounds like a cross between Dua Lipa and Olivia Rodrigo, and the song itself reminds me a bit of early 2010s indie music.

^The song is not a remake of Blake Shelton's song. It has been driven mostly by Tik Tok, it appears.

Billboard Top 10 from 40, 35, 30, 25, and 20 years ago: March 24, 198401 01 Jump - Van Halen (5th and final week at #1)02 03 Somebody's Watching Me - Rockwell 03 02 Girls Just Want To Have Fun - Cyndi Lauper 04 05 Footloose - Kenny Loggins 05 08 Here Comes The Rain Again - Eurythmics 06 07 I Want a New Drug - Huey Lewis & The News 07 04 99 Luftballons - Nena 08 12 Automatic - The Pointer Sisters 09 13 Adult Education - Daryl Hall & John Oates 10 11 Got a Hold On Me - Christine McVie March 25, 198901 02 The Living Years - Mike + The Mechanics (1st and only week at #1)02 06 Eternal Flame - The Bangles 03 04 Girl You Know It's True - Milli Vanilli 04 08 The Look - Roxette 05 07 My Heart Can't Tell You No - Rod Stewart 06 01 Lost In Your Eyes - Debbie Gibson 07 14 She Drives Me Crazy - Fine Young Cannibals 08 12 Walk The Dinosaur - Was (Not Was) 09 03 Roni - Bobby Brown 10 11 You're Not Alone - Chicago Once again, the 1984 chart shines through, including with the line top 10 for Christine (RIP) —although I liked better Love will show us how. In 1989, I wanted to briefly acknowledge the departure of Sheena Easton, who spent her last ever week in the top 10 with The Lover in Me, peaking at #2. That was actually her second highest peaking credited song. Her lone #1 was (9 to 5) Morning Train in 1981. And she had an uncredited #2 peaking duet with Prince on U Got the Look in 1987. According to Wikipedia, she became the first artist in Billboard history to have a top five hit on each of its primary singles charts: Pop and AC (Morning Train), Country and AC (We've Got Tonight, with Kenny Rogers) and R&B and Dance (Sugar Walls). She totaled 7 top 10s and 20 top 40s in her career -all in the 80s except What Comes Naturally (#19 in ‘91). Plus, she had a couple of songs in Spanish that became quite successful in Latin America. I wish she had had a comeback with her Fabulous album at the beginning of the century but this wasn’t in the cards for her. Still, she’s had quite a good performance that many times is under appreciated / forgotten. So I just wanted to take the chance for a brief Sheena appreciation :) Similarly, but to a lesser extent, we are about to say goodbye to Debbie Gibson’s visits to the BB top 10. A great debut with 4 top 10s including her first #1 Foolish Beat, which made her the youngest person to write, produce, and perform a number-one single entirely on her own, at age 17! Lost was a huge hit in many countries, but unfortunately the follow up Electric Youth only made it to #11 in billboard and underperformed in several markets. Although back home in Peru it was a huge hit :) the follow up album singles performed even more disappointingly (although We Could be Together was another hit in Peru, too). Eventually her more mature look and sound for her third album and the evolution of the sound landscape was the nail in the coffin for her career as a successful pop artist. But she still had quite a good run, especially for a young woman.

Ariana Grande’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” blasts in at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the pop superstar’s ninth career leader on the list.
The song is the second single from Grande’s seventh LP, Eternal Sunshine, which launches at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with the biggest week, in terms of equivalent album units earned, of 2024. “Yes, And?,” the lead single from the set, released on Republic Records, premiered at the summit in January.
Plus, as Grande wrote and produced “We Can’t Be Friends” with Max Martin and ILYA (and solely penned its lyrics), Martin extends his record for the most Hot 100 No. 1s among producers – 25 – in the chart’s history. He also surpasses John Lennon for the second-most leaders among writers – 27 – after only Paul McCartney’s 32. Additionally in the Hot 100’s top 10, 4Batz and featured artist Drake bound from No. 61 to No. 7 with “Act II: Date @ 8,” following the release of its remix with Drake. 4Batz scores his first top 10, while Drake adds his record-extending 77th. The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. All charts (dated March 23, 2024) will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, March 19. For all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on both X, formerly known as Twitter, and Instagram.
“We Can’t Be Friends” becomes the 1,166th No. 1 in the Hot 100’s 65-year archives, and the 76th to debut at the summit.
Here’s a look at its coronation, as well as the rest of the latest Hot 100’s top 10. Streams, airplay & sales
Released March 8 on Eternal Sunshine, followed by the premiere of its official video the same day, “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” drew 32.6 million streams and 4.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and sold 9,000 in the week ending March 14, according to Luminate. (It outpaces the streaming start of “Yes, And?,” which drew 27.2 million in its first frame.)
The new single launches at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart, where Grande ups her total to six career leaders. On Digital Song Sales, it begins at No. 4.
Along with its original version released March 8, the track was available for purchase via three mixes released March 13: its “string version” and a cappella and instrumental options. Grande's ninth Hot 100 No. 1
Grande achieves her ninth Hot 100 No. 1. She notches her seventh No. 1 debut, surpassing Taylor Swift for the most among women; Drake leads all acts with nine chart-topping entrances.
Ariana Grande’s Hot 100 No. 1s: (*No. 1 debut)
“We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love),” one week at No. 1 to-date, March 23, 2024* “Yes, And?,” one week, Jan. 27, 2024* “Die for You,” with The Weeknd, one week, March 11, 2023 “Save Your Tears,” with The Weeknd, two weeks, beginning May 8, 2021 “Positions,” one week, Nov. 7, 2020* “Rain on Me,” with Lady Gaga, one week, June 6, 2020* “Stuck With U,” with Justin Bieber, one week, May 23, 2020* “7 Rings,” eight weeks, beginning Feb. 2, 2019* “Thank U Next,” seven weeks, beginning Nov. 17, 2018*
Grande also ties Beyoncé and Katy Perry for the seventh-most Hot 100 No. 1s among solo women. Mariah Carey leads all women, and soloists, with 19 (and overall trails only The Beatles, with 20), followed by Rihanna (14), Madonna (12), Whitney Houston, Taylor Swift (11 each) and Janet Jackson (10). Max Martin extends No. 1 record among producers
Grande co-wrote and co-produced “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” with Max Martin and ILYA. She earns her ninth Hot 100 No. 1 as a writer and her second as a producer (following “Yes, And?”) ILYA adds his third leader as both a writer and producer, after “Yes, And?” and Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy,” for a week in 2022.
Meanwhile, with its arrival atop the Hot 100, Martin extends his mark for the most leaders among producers ever on the chart: 25. With “Yes, And?,” he passed the late George Martin (who produced 19 of The Beatles’ 20 No. 1s).
Most Hot 100 No. 1s Among Producers:
25, Max Martin 23, George Martin 18, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald 16, James “Jimmy Jam” Harris III 16, Terry Lewis
Max Martin also surpasses the late John Lennon for the second-most Hot 100 No. 1s among writers, 27, after only Paul McCartney’s 32. (McCartney and Lennon co-penned all 20 of The Beatles’ No. 1s.)
Most Hot 100 No. 1s Among Writers:
32, Paul McCartney 27, Max Martin 26, John Lennon 18, Mariah Carey 18, Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald
Max Martin first dominated the Hot 100 both as a producer and writer over 25 years ago, when Britney Spears’ debut smash “…Baby One More Time” hit No. 1 on the Jan. 30, 1999-dated chart. ‘Friends’ in high places
“We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love)” is only the second Hot 100 No. 1 with the word “friends” in its name. The other included the word in both its title and artist fields: “That’s What Friends Are For,” by Dionne & Friends (Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder).
If including variations of the word “friend,” the total of such Hot 100 No. 1s would rise to five. A friendly reminder of the other three: “Girlfriend,” by Avril Lavigne (2007); “You’ve Got a Friend,” by James Taylor (1971); and “My Boyfriend’s Back,” by The Angels (1963).
(No songs with “enemy” in their titles have topped the Hot 100. Imagine Dragons’ “Enemy” has made the furthest such invasion, hitting No. 5 in April 2022.)
As for the word “love,” it appears in the title of a Hot 100 No. 1 for the first time since Jawsh 685, Jason Derulo and BTS’ “Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat)” led for a week in October 2020. ‘And’ another thing: Top 10 streak continues
With Eternal Sunshine’s tracklist official upon the set’s release – and retroactive to the Hot 100 entrance of “Yes, And?” – Grande extends an unprecedented streak: She has now debuted the first single from each of her seven proper studio albums in the chart’s top 10.
Album, Lead single, Hot 100 debut/peak, Year:
Eternal Sunshine, “Yes, And?,” No. 1, 2024 Positions, “Positions,” No. 1, 2020 Thank U, Next, “Thank U, Next,” No. 1, 2018 Sweetener, “No Tears Left To Cry,” No. 3, 2018 Dangerous Woman, “Dangerous Woman,” No. 10/8, 2016 My Everything, “Problem,” feat. Iggy Azalea, No. 3/2, 2014 Yours Truly, “The Way,” feat. Mac Miller, No. 10/9, 2013
4Batz’s first top 10, Drake’s 77th
Also notable in the Hot 100’s top 10, 4Batz surges 61-7 with “Act II: Date @ 8,” following the March 8 release of its remix with featured artist Drake, who is now also credited on the song’s chart listing. The song wins the chart’s top Streaming Gainer award, up 187% to 19.9 million streams. It also drew 8.4 million in radio audience (up 37%) and sold 1,000 (up 590%).
4Batz (real name Neko Bennett), from Dallas, earns his first Hot 100 top 10, while Drake claims his record-extending 77th. Most Billboard Hot 100 Top 10s: 77, Drake 49, Taylor Swift 38, Madonna 35, The Beatles 32, Rihanna 30, Michael Jackson 29, Elton John 28, Mariah Carey 28, Stevie Wonder 27, Janet Jackson 26, Justin Bieber 25, Lil Wayne 25, Elvis Presley (whose career start predated the Hot 100’s inception) “Act II: Date @ 8” simultaneously soars 7-1 on the multimetric Hot R&B Songs chart, where it becomes the first leader for 4Batz and the ninth for Drake (dating to the list’s 2012 inception). (Where it’s @: “Act II: Date @ 8” is the first Hot 100 top 10 with “@” in its title. It leaps over the only other such top 40 hit: Playboi Carti’s “@ MEH” hit No. 35 in May 2020.) ‘Lose Control’ leads rest of top 10 Elsewhere, Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control” is steady at its No. 2 Hot 100 best, as it adds a third week atop Digital Song Sales (12,000, down 52%). Benson Boone’s “Beautiful Things” rebounds to its No. 3 Hot 100 high, from No. 4. “Carnival,” by Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign and featuring Rich the Kid and Playboi Carti, falls to No. 4 on the Hot 100 after a week at No. 1. It logs a third week atop both the multimetric Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts. Jack Harlow’s “Lovin on Me” descends 3-5 on the Hot 100, following six nonconsecutive weeks at No. 1 beginning last December, as it notches a ninth week atop the Radio Songs chart (75.2 million, down 2%). Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” dips 5-6 after two weeks atop the Hot 100 earlier this month. It leads the Hot Country Songs chart for a fifth week. Below “Act II: Date @ 8” on the Hot 100, Tate McRae’s “Greedy” falls 6-8, after reaching No. 3. Zach Bryan’s “I Remember Everything,” featuring Kacey Musgraves, backtracks 7-9 on the Hot 100, after it led for a week upon its debut last September. It tops the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs and Hot Rock Songs charts for a 29th week each. Rounding out the Hot 100’s top 10, Grande’s “Yes, And?” rebounds 31-10, led by its 110% gain 17.3 million streams. Again, for all chart news, you can follow billboard and billboardcharts on Billboard’s social accounts, and all charts (dated March 23), including the Hot 100 in its entirety, will refresh on Billboard.com tomorrow (March 19). Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings.
