I think it was such a weird choice to send to Rhythmic. This is not going anywhere there. They could’ve done dual singles - Most Wanted for Pop and HAC with Spaghetti for Rhythmic and Urban.

And speaking of, I’m surprised they haven’t done anything for Urban since Texas Hold ‘Em fell out of their charts the second the album came out.

I am beyond convinced she has a film for all 3 acts in the works, hence why we’re getting zero visuals for these acts as they happen. And honestly, that’s going to slay my entire being and be one of the most epic things any mainstream artist has ever done if/when it drops. But still… it’s really disappointing to not get some event videos to promote some of these singles when they’re current.

I don't see that happening unless Beyoncé decides to play the game. And by that I mean releases a video of the song to increase streams along with a live performance. Perhaps SNL with her & Miley doing the duet live with the video being uploaded ASAP/going viral.

But I think Beyoncé is in a place where she does what she wants and lets the music speak for itself.

Still hoping "Bodyguard" might get sent to radio in June/July. Perfect for the summer.

I actually think this song is perfect for summer. When I heard the album on initial listen this was the only single choice along with LJ. Body guard is not an immediate track. While I would LOVE for it to be a single, I am a bit worried about its chances. Someone in the thread said this was a single heavy album and I beg to differ. Do I think it’s a great work. Yes. But singles heavy no.

Not understanding how this could be considered a weak choice — to me it’s the best for sure. It’s not doing super well but what really would, honestly? She won’t promote anything and her singles famously underperform due to that. LJ will make a great mid to late summer single, if they miraculously decide to even go 3 singles deep, and clearly Posty is booked at the moment.

this strikes me as the sort of thing that needs to have a high profile award show performance of some type to promote it -- i do kind of get her team chose it, since songs like this have a HIGH ceiling (ie being an ac station / x factor staple for the next 30+ years) but it's never gonna reach those highs if it doesn't somehow resonate with the public first

i actually don't think levi's jeans is neccesarily the smash some people think it is (the rhythm section is lowkey giving me man of the woods teas) but bodyguard absolutely strikes me as a better choice then this and i'm not sure why they didn't go with that second when let's be real, there's no way beyonce is gonna come out and give this the grammies performance this desperately needs
