Feather going recurrent the week after it reached it's peak would be hilarious It got a respectable peak, good run with plenty of longevity, is locked for Year End 100 and paved way for Espresso so yeah, I'd say it more than achieved its mission Actually since it's still gaining in Adult Pop Airplay, it might stay, as the Talk of the Charts predictions show.

Youβre telling me Taylor was our final line of defense from βBeautiful Thingsβ hitting number 1? We should all be grateful to Taylor Swift for this at the very least.

For Western artist videos 2022-2024, highest weekly peaks on Youtube: Miley's Flowers 60 million Taylor's Fortnight 40 million Harry's As It Was 39 million Taylor's Anti-Hero 37 million Encanto Cast's We Don't Talk About Bruno 33 million
It's mostly Asian and Latin American artists whose fans still care about videos.

I wonder why? Is it that those cultures still like consuming music more visually? Is it an affordability issue in that streaming services are too expensive for them? Or maybe legal streaming services still aren't widely available in those countries? It's not a new thing for music to be consumed primarily via YouTube, in the early 2010s that was definitely the case in the U.S.

^My guess is that in many of those countries, YouTube is pre-installed in most of the Android phones that are sold in those countries and you can use it with the Google account associated with the phone. For almost any other streaming service, you would need to install the app and create an account even for the ad-supported tier of Spotify. Viewing it on YouTube might not be because you care for the video, but for the song itself.

I would imagine Taylor will break the record for the most debuts in one week? I don't know what the record is, but...

I would imagine Taylor will break the record for the most debuts in one week? I don't know what the record is, but... Morgan Wallen currently has the record for most top 100 debuts in a single week at 27, so Taylor Swift will take that record. However, since Taylor only has cruel summer as a non-debut this week, she will have βonlyβ 32 songs on the chart this week so she will not break the record for most songs on the chart in a single week, which Morgan holds for that same week with 36! entries on the Hot 100 in one week

Featured opens up a lot more possibilities, of course. I could see Taylor, Drake or Beyonce bringing a 60+ act on as a featured artist on a lead single and topping the Hot 100. Solo is tougher.

I don't know why but Daya's debut single back in 2015, "Hide Away" is charting on Spotify at #137, is this a revival or something?

Can I just say: a lot has been made of shortening attention spans and how things move quickly. You can have your thoughts on it and whether it's good or bad (personally having down the research, it's a lot more complicated than just focusing on something) but I feel like even an artist as big as Taylor Swift having people engaged to a two hour long double album of mostly slow songs, with no interludes or tracks shorter than 3 minutes, I think should help disprove any notions that those Gen Z or younger are incapable of being engaged for a long time.
It reminds me of when Oppenheimer's runtime was revealed to be 3 hours long, people had doubts it would be a huge hit because it was a so long and had little action in it. And then it wound up being one of the highest grossing movies of last year.

Drake making fun of Kendrick for doing a Taylor feature and then having that same track be locked out of the Top 10 in it's debut week because of Taylor is pretty funny, even though it'll likely break in next week.

However if Taylor did a little backing vocals on Kendrick's diss like how she has backing vocals on "BODYGUARD" I would not be mad. In-fact that would be hilarious.

Moving here since more relevant: I think we're currently witnessing her absolute peak. People have been saying that about her since 2014. Only time will tell! Sheβs a country teeny bop singer, how is Fearless and AOTY not her peak? She got a million+ opening week with Speak Now off of hype from Fearless, how is Speak Now not her peak? She got a number one single with a country song, how is WANEGBT and Red not her peak? She has the biggest album, two of the biggest songs, and AOTY, how is 1989 not her peak? She came back with her most critically acclaimed album, how is Folklore not her peak? She sent a 10 minute re-recording to number one, how is Red (TV) not her peak? She occupied the top 10 with one album, how is Midnights not her peak? She sent a five-year old song to #1 off of the strength of the biggest tour of all time, how is Eras and Cruel Summer not her peak? She did 2.6 million in one week in the streaming era, how is TTPD not her peak? Itβs been 16 years of peaks, whatβs next?
