I absolutely agree that it would. But I don’t think there’s any denying this as a single at this point. My hope is that MBOBHFT also sees a release, but the fact that it not in the tour setlist and is outperformed in streaming by both this and DB probably doesn’t bode well. I’m just convinced radio would eat it up.

"ICDIWABH" has done so well as it is, is there a point to making it a single? I think it could be smarter to make something like "MBOBHFT" a single to give it more exposure.

I don't see this performing well. It was cute when the album first came out, but it aged poorly and becomes grating after several listens. Down Bad has already been chosen by the public and has smash potential, but I guess she's committed to underperforming singles this era!

This has been consistently performing Down Bad for a while now so idk where you got that from. I do agree in that I don't see this doing super well on radio but it is undeniably the most popular choice

I think this has a higher burn rate so release it now for the quick #1. Then release Down Bad (featuring SZA) in the Fall as awards season comes along.

I think Rep (TV) and the other one is gonna be pushed back to 2025 based on the reaction to TTPD. She’s gonna wanna really let this one run its course before overshadowing it.

I think "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" is (on first listen) more instant than "Down Bad", but I think "Down Bad" has the better hook ("f it if I can't have him") that'll get stuck in the listener's head more easily encouraging repeated listens. I also think "Down Bad" will have a slower burn rate, because the production is more palatable, whereas the production in the chorus of "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart" can become grating very easily once it's played into the ground like radio will be sure to do. To me "ICDIWABH" always sounded like the love child of "Mastermind" and "Bejeweled".

At least this song's run will be more interesting to watch than "Fortnight". lol

Down Bad would work well in the fall with a featured artist.

IMO the only viable single choices left are:

Down Bad

Single #4 (any one of these)
Fresh Out the Slammer
So Long London
Guilty as Sin
imgonnagetyouback
So High School

Anything over 5 minutes is automatically thrown out too.
