I like Hammer to the Heart. Hopefully, it can become another hit for Teddy Swims.

100%! It would be perfect for the summer, the same with Leviiβs Jeans, which wonβt be a single now for obvious reasons. They could have a cute little hit with it but instead keep on wasting time with this ballad.

So seems like Fortnight, Espresso, and Too Sweet will be the songs to kick off the summer season as I donβt see them collapsing any time soon. Love all 3 so Iβm cool with that.

I see "I Had Some Help" being the next 10+ week #1 and the song of the summer. It was already trending high on Shazam for weeks as the snippet had the GP in a chokehold Most likely releasing next Friday or could be a midweek release like Last Night, during Stagecoach this week as both Post & Morgan teased to play it:

They could have a cute little hit with it but instead keep on wasting time with this ballad. BODYGUARD is probably the only other radio friendly song. YA YA is the best track and will kill at parties and live shows but it's probably too wild and experimental for radio. II MOST WANTED is far from my favorite track and if they wanted a slower track to push then 16 CARRIAGES, DAUGHTER, AND II HANDS II HEAVEN are far better songs. But 2MW also has Miley so it's understandable why it's the next single probably the safest (and least exciting option) but if it her another stable hit so be it. LEVII'S JEANS is...well it was an attempt.

Bodyguard deserves, this one is a snoozefest. Between this and "Fortnite," it's disappointing to me we're getting these lame collabs as the singles when both have better solo options on their albums.

I think it'd be funny if this ends up being its last week at #1, because that means "Fortnight" spent a fortnight at #1.

Wouldn't be shocked if Fortnight wasn't one of Taylor's longest running #1s but it's still high enough that I think 2 more weeks on top is the worst case scenario, followed by a long top 20 run if radio goes all the way with it.

I love how Post Malone was a "rapper" when hip hop was the biggest genre in the world, when that failed he's now all of a sudden a "folk-country purist" when those genres are taking off. Dude's label has prepared him to mold into any pushing trend π.
Seriously, i thought we were done with him.... why are some of the biggest stars now trying to revive his career with features.

Artists are allowed to bend genres and should never be told to stick in the same box. This is how we got great experiments like Beyonce doing a country album is the latest prime example. Post has always been into different genres of rock, pop, hip hop and country.
Also, please note this review from his debut STONEY album
Artistic fluidity
Spanning 18 tracks and clocking in at just over an hour in length, Stoney introduces Post Malone as a versatile artist whoβs not afraid to be brutally honest about his demons. From the outset, his artistic fluidity refuses to be boxed in by critical perceptions: he integrates all his influences, from hip-hop, pop, and even country music, to create a unique sound.
Additionally, in interviews he has cited influences being Bob Dylan, Kurt Cobain, and Johnny Cash several years back.

The khias are gonna go ham with auto play this week. How many songs have even reached 8-10m on Spotify since the platformβs existence? And now we have a new one doing this every week?

What the heck is a Khia and what are you going on about? You answered the question. When you hear an artistβs name and go βwho?β often in the context of a random hit song that perhaps feels inorganic. See: Artemas, Teddy Swims, Chappell Roan (to some people)

No need to throw around Stan Twitter insults like that but I do agree it's fishy how high songs are rising. 8m global/2.5m US was usually only attainable for the biggest hits and now a new song hits that every week in 2024. We all know autoplay exists but it clearly has gotten stronger this year.

I don't disagree with this, he's displayed those influences in his earlier work in some subtler ways. It's just funny how his "passion" for folk and country are only now becoming the focus of his music, when he's always talked about "not caring about the charts" lol

I'm surprised bey has one song in the top 200 on Spotify. Looks like crazy in love is only behind the two singles.
