Lunch aged really fast for me, it felt like a worser bad guy pt 2 but for the performance of cunnilingus on a woman instead of 'might seduce your dad'. Anyways love Birds of a feather and chihiro, been streaming them nonstop but I fear with the release of these albums getting dropped all at once, the streams im giving may dissipate... I hope that it's not just me tho in the future because birds of a feather is a hit. I can see it peaking in the US next week and then globally weeks down the run.

This is why I'm not a huge fan of the 'no songs/singles before the album release', LUNCH is an amazing lead single and it really deserved its moment, but I have a feeling BIRDS OF A FEATHER/CHIHIRO will outshine it.

eternal sunshine's rollout is kinda my favorite, lead single before the album, 2nd single with the album release and 3rd after - GP can decide it with the streams.

yes, and? wasn't a great lead single, and wcbf(wfyl) is doing fine, but the competition is really strong rn (would've been #5 on 11/04/23 for example).

What works best depends on many factors, but I think that's the best way to give your singles chance to shine and to have a good promo (remix for a 3rd single is great too), without waiting 6 months or more between the lead and album release, like Dua with OR and Billie with HTE.

yes. Not sure exactly when In My Feelings became a single, but it wasn't when Scorpion came out, it reached #1 in its 2nd week after it debuted at #6. Also, Olivia's favorite crime debuted #18 and rose to #16.

I get that, but in a way it works out because it's giving her 2 hits off the album right away. That looks good for the album. If something is a hit on its own in the streaming era, there is little need to make it a single.

Yeah but the eternal sunshine singles really only streamed well in their initial weeks as singles. "We Can't Be Friends" is already out of the top 40 on Streaming Songs. There are other factors to that, of course, but so far nothing from this album era has had legs so I am not sure how to gauge it.
