I went through his whole verse and he seemingly says nothing concerning the beef though, the closest thing is that there seems to be a line that refers to the shooting happening at his home, but otherwise he's just trying to ignore the beef happening at all. As expected, and fits the rumor that he is truly being told to stand down by his handlers because he will only make it worse by continuing as shown with "The Heart Part 6"

Well if it is not a recreation of it then they did a bad job sampling it. Slopped it into the beat of the song rather than just a clean period of him going over the BBL Drizzy beat, it was like sloppily thrown into the song’s existing beat rather than like cleanly cutting to the BBL Drizzy beat. I did not like how it sounded. If you listen to the actual BBL Drizzy it is waaay better and not obstructed by a separate beat playing simultaneously. It is a shame because the thought of Drake rapping in the BBL Drizzy beat woulda been great.

Just a reminder that if a song gets autoplayed on Spotify, a person can exit the song anytime they want. The fact that so many people are willing to let Lunch play in their playlist is very significant.

I do get this sentiment, lol. But from a chart perspective, a lot of people listen to music passively. So the possibility of inflating numbers is there. Pardon my ignorance, because I missed the original convo, but is it truly based on the algorithm or are labels paying to have songs boosted on autoplay? Is there concrete evidence that this is impacting streaming numbers in any big way?

I can't help but feel those who are taking sudden issue with labels/artists artificially inflating numbers, forcing songs into rotation on Spotify shuffle, strategizing rotating #1s and peaks on radio etc are a bit naive: chart manipulation is absolutely nothing new and has always, always infiltrated the music industry and it absolutely always will. Labels and artists are always going to use any means necessary to boost their work's performance and to utilize strategies that may feel unfair. It's always going to be a part of the equation. A system that purely and genuinely reflects actual user/listener preference with 100% accuracy would mean a complete overhaul of the entire industry and I'm not sure if it's even possible as there will always be someone seeking to manipulate the raw data. I understand it being frustrating, but it's an aspect we're all gonna have to make peace with. lol

Yes with an asterisk. There is impact but it's not a huge bump. It's usually a daily rise but that can falter quickly. And autoplay changes are irregular in how they rotate. As much as people complain about autoplay, it's also not a sustainable mode to boost up numbers. 

Any autoplayed streams LUNCH is getting is a small fraction.

If we're being honest with ourselves it is likely Taylor has seen Billie's comments and doesn't take kindly to them. I love Taylor, but she certainly has an eagle eye for criticism, particularly with fellow artists, and she is known to be vindictive/petty. Is there confirmation there is bad blood between the two? No. But knowing Taylor, it wouldn't be surprising to know she's no longer feeling ole girl after her recent multiple comments. lol

it makes sense for people to be upset about it. autoplay's main purpose, at least a year ago or so, was for the spotify algorithm to suggest things similar to what you're listening to. Its nice to be able to just let spotify play without having to constantly be worrying about skipping around.

another reason why soundcloud is superior havent had any of the recent hits pushed onto me by them yet.

It's countless people on TikTok who have made defamatory videos about Drake that went a lot more viral who never got a cease and desist but that guy made a video breaking down lyrics (that wasn't even accurate) and immediately followed it up with a video of a fake cease and desist and of course y'all gobble it up lmao.
