I think it might take some time for Katy to recover from Woman’s World & Lifetimes mess.

I’m His, He’s Mine is rising on Apple Music and has some playlists support. On the other hand, Spotify hardly gave the song playlists support other than New Music Friday playlist. I don’t know what’s going on with Spotify.

katy & her team killed any reason for playlisters & the radio to promote her, we can't blame them at this point. Pushing more singles that don't have any streaming momentum is only gonna make it harder for her to revive her career in the future. The only thing we can hope for atp is an album track blowing up on tiktok & for album sales to be better than expected.

I'm assuming they're banking their $$$ for promos scheduled for the release week.

This song has shown potential but she must've burned a lot of budget for everything before it. For it to become too big for Capitol to ignore, it needs to show consistent growth on streaming. How it fares in the next few days and during the release week will be crucial.

I also have the feeling that the label will be playlisting the song with 21 Savage as the focus track of the album next Friday. They're probably waiting to see which one between the two shows greater potential.

Tbh, given Lifetimes and I'm His He's Mine failed to reach the top 200 on US Spotify, I can't see anything taking off. I'm His He's Mine got 1m streams, which wasn't even enough for the Top 200 on Global Spotify.. How many points would be needed to reach the top 100 on the Billboard 200?

Sorry but playlisting is a tired excuse. Sure it can help push a song up but if a song can't hit ANY spotify chart without it then clearly there is no interest whatsoever.

"Ivy" by Frank Ocean is sitting at #196 on the main chart and #29 on the pop chart. #99 on the pop chart is probably not too many streams.

You mean the album chart? I'd guess she can still command enough of stanbase to sell enough physicals for a top 20 peak but this is 99% surely going to be her worst opening yet and considering Smile was already an ugly number...

I think "Lifetimes" was the hit of the era. And they squandered it, by tainting any hype by releasing "Woman's World" first; as well as no attempt to do any playlisting. I'm not a big fan of this new one. I thought WW was okay, nothing special, but over hated.

Really not looking forward to seeing the sales of the new album. Honestly should just release it at come back Q1 with an EP with more undeniable material, because nothing from this record is going to take off. It's DOA unfortunately.
