It appears Cirkut is the producer for this, which is FIRE. A few of his more recent hits:
- "360" / "365" - Charli XCX - "Unholy" - Sam Smith / Kim Petras - "Hold Me Closer" - Elton John & Britney Spears
I have no idea what direction this will go, but I am very excited now.

Production sounds like it will be great. If her team really pushes an airplay deal, a solid viral video, and the song itself is good, it COULD have a shot at #1 hot 100 debut. Not sure how likely it will be but if things align, it is certainly possible.

The Hot 100 points are low right now -- "Love Somebody" is about to debut likely at #1 with about 250 points, compared to most of the year, where it has been upper 200's and low 300's to get into the top spot. Love Somebody might drop in week 2, so the threshold *could* be around 235-250 points.
If there was a moment to strike, it would be next week.
With that said, I still doubt it goes #1. I'd love to see it, but it would have to be a home run, pop star event. And as much as I love Gaga, she does two things that hurt her:
1) She likes to be overly meta at times and it doesn't always click 2) Her last few eras didn't spawn the best first singles ("Perfect Illusion" and "Stupid Love") compared to follow up songs on the albums that performed better and could have started the era ("Million Reasons", "Rain on Me").
What Gaga DOES have going for her this time is that she has a smash song on the radio, "Die with a Smile", which is also the #1 Global song right now, and so this should get top tier playlisting and radio support.

Gaga is just not the debuts at #1 type anymore lol. I am hoping for a solid top 20 showing in the first week, possibly top 10.

I think that a #1 debut should be a lock at this point. She's literally the most popular female singer on Spotify with 107 million listeners.

Yes, just like The Weeknd debuted his recent songs (the other one a feature with big streaming force Playboi Carti) at #1. He's literally the most popular male singer on Spotify with 120 million listeners.

It also depends if the songs are good. but yeah streaming positions do not necessarily determine placement. the weekend rehashed his same sound over and over and then tried to paste in a popular rapper on it to help. The songs could have fit in on any cd he released the last decade. They were fine and I enjoyed for a few days but they had a very high burn rate. LEts see if gaga will be smarter

i think people should lower their expectations tremendously. A techno-sounding Lady Gaga song isn't going to be exploding on ANY radio format other than Pop. She'll most likely have a radio deal similar to Woman's World. Love the direction tho and it's probably gonna be awesome, but that genre isn't really in right now. DWAS has a timeless sound, so that's why its streaming was so stable. If it's great and everything goes to plan, I'd say Top 10 somewhere between 5-10, with an interesting 2nd week. It's not gonna have more points than Bar Song, Espresso, new Morgan Wallen, etc. But we'll see!

Yeah, I am thinking top 10 debut is probably a pretty easy bet. Top 5 would be awesome. However, until we actually *hear* it, I am just keeping expectations low. I fully expect a radio deal, decent video debut numbers and top playlisting though. It all will help.
Cirkut has produced some techno / dance bangers too, so my expectations for the production are VERY high. Like, he is responsible for "Where Have you Been" by Rihanna, Kesha's "Warrior" album (Crazy Kids, Die Young, Warrior, etc), Katy Perry's "Roar", "Dark Horse", Miley's "Wrecking Ball", Weeknd "Starboy" with Daft Punk, and so much more.
I think what he can do with Gaga on this album could be **absolutely epic**

The harder sound the better, it will obviously have a big chorus regardless. Bring it on!!

A little nervous about the prospects of a techno Lady Gaga song in 2024 smashing, but here's hoping!

If it sounds like those dark sounding tracks from Born This Way, I think it’ll have a chance to debut high. Gen Z eats those type of songs.

Katy did her damage all on her own, which her failure has been discussed more than any other topic this year on Pulse, and Gaga has a top hit song on the charts right now. Plus, her last album spawned a #1 hit song and a #5 song (you do realize Gaga has a ton of hits past 2009, right?) This will all depend on the strength of what she releases, but as long as it’s not equivalent of Woman’s World, I’m not worried.
