So, what happened to all these record pre-orders and his website crashing because of it? I would think that if anything would lead to a #1 debut. that only means he has a pretty solid fanbase, but 15-20k sales won't get him there, GP needs to be on board with streaming. |

Also radio is gonna play the absolute fuck out of this track because he's performing at the iHeartRadio Music Festival next week, I don't doubt he didn't secure #1 on pop radio by agreeing to do that.

Eh, unless it's automatically top 10 at several formats, radio jumping on it fast doesn't mean a ton. Its competition such as "A Bar Song" and Sabrina's tracks have a ton of airplay. This new Weeknd song will definitely need to be #1 in streaming to be #1, or to have a huge sales total along with pretty solid streams. |

The two week top ten, yes But sixteen weeks in the top 20; let's keep things in perspective. I'm thinking more that Dancing in the Flames might debut high, probably in the top 10, but might need some time to stay stable if it's to become a big hit. The Weeknd is just so hit and miss since The Dawn FM, with all of its singles and the entire album under-performing (I really think because of overexposure at that time), but then he's had other hits since then (let's not pretend like Die For You was entirely because of Ariana; it was already in the top 10 for 8 weeks before her remix, which only gave it a one week boost to #1, and quickly after it seemed like his solo version was back to being mostly consumed), and Creepin seemed to be largely because of him as well, so it will be interesting to see how this era does. |

Yeah, Heartless was a legitimate hit to be fair, despite the horrid top ten week count for a #1. Christmas really messed it up (and BL coming fast to completely overshadow it).

I feel like Dancing In The Flames will perform similarly as Die With A Smile has been doing. It will debut high and probably linger in the top 10 while radio supports most of its run and having somewhat decently strong streaming for the first few weeks.
A lot of people on Tik Tok wanted this to be the next single after the Sao Paulo concert. If the reception wasn’t good to begin with then he would’ve probably went with another song such as Wake Me Up which is basically like Take My Breath 2.0 so its probably good he didn’t go with that.
I admit that i was disappointed when i initially heard the final version of DITF last night, it felt all compressed and lifeless but a few hours ago Abel quietly updated a new mix of the song on streaming platforms and it sounds way better now.

Dancing In The Flames is now #15 on AM.
Can't wait for the Spotify numbers, Call Out My Name is still his biggest solo debut with 6.47M WW / 3.5M US. Overall, Die For You Remix is his biggest debut with 8.93M (only 2.42M in the US). His first two leads from the triology, Heartless debuted with 2.6M in the US and Take My Breath with 1.7M.

I'm shocked at One of the Girls longevity on Spotify chart. It was #18 yesterday with 3.15M streams, outstreaming current hits like Not Like Us, I Had Some Help and Million Dollar Baby.

I wonder if Carti is just frontloaded and he's gonna lose lots of streams in the next couple days or if the song will actually be a big hit. I'm very impressed with how huge his fanbase is, his album is gonna do huge numbers.

Wow, I didn’t expect Tate to debut slightly higher than The Weeknd. I guess the sound is not that special to many people cause he already did that kind of synthpop before. As for Playboi Carti, the debut is very high and I’m not sure if it’s actually frontloaded due to curiosity or it will be a long lasting hit.
