I really doubt DIIT is going to grow like DWAS. The main reason DWAS had the run it has had now was because it was a surprise drop, only announced the day it dropped, and because it's a good song. Meanwhile the weeknd's newest single has been hyped up for over a month now, and there's really no reason for people to return to it after a first listen. Everything 80's related this year has not done as well as previous years.

If you're surprised by Carti's debut then you're just not paying attention. his album will be the most hyped release of 2024 with over a year of build-up. This man is challenging for the rop spot in the rap game and I think he'll open better than Travis did with Utopia. I could see him breaking the NLU record for a rap song, and All Res could definitely still grow in streams

DWAS apparently just had its biggest day yet on global Spotify. Turning into an absolute streaming monster. Really would like to see them find some kind of (non-desperate) promo tactic to push for #1 on h100

Dancing In The Flames has absolutely exploded on YouTube, it had a mediocre 4 million views this morning since its release late Thursday night and now it’s up to 14 million and still going crazy. I wonder if this is because of everyone else just now realizing he has a new single out or if it’s because of the Apple commercial being shown everywhere.

I guess we’ll see the Spotify numbers tomorrow.

it's FRAUD.. the MV is used as Apple Ad and every Ad view was counted towards the MV..

Gaga did this with Stupid Love Apple Ad getting spammed but it was another clip, thus, not counted as Official for Charts

I saw a screenshot on twitter and thought it was fake LOL, until you posted here. I don't think this is organic tbh, maybe it's because of the algorithm (Life Is Good vibes), or what kiddo1994 said. Now it's at 18.7M.

Why not? What am I missing? Its streaming has remained really solid, so as airplay continues to increase wouldn't it threaten for #1? Depending on how the new Weeknd song does, there isn't really anything else 'new' at the moment to act as competition apart from "Taste."

I've been following Billboard's charts for 14 years now (help!), and Lose Control is one of the biggest WTFs for me. That bland song will be in the top 10 for 40+ weeks, and basically every song that will be in the #2-#20 area on the YE chart felt like a bigger hit than LC, but yes, obviously there are people who still listen to the song and I don't deny that fact.

also, what the hell happened with All Red? I thought it was a sure top 5 debut.

We are, and I just reviewed his chart history for good measure, and other than a couple of moderate performing albums and decently-sized top 10 hits, all of which were low-profile features and collabs from the past few years, what is there to clearly indicate a huge Spotify and Apple #1 debut would've been in the cards? I'm not a big fan of rap by any means, but I'm also not aware of any major building hype or major critical acclaim for him from the rap community. I did also listen to the song, and though I'm not the best judge of rap, I didn't see anything special or "mainstream-y" about it in a way that would take off. Plus I also see it had a huge day 2 drop on Spotify, so maybe it was initial curiosity more than anything from minor building hype over the years.

Also quite shocked to not only see the Weeknd open poorly, but have such a poor second-day drop. I was really fooled and all hung up over those click-batey pre-order sellout tweets, making it seem like there's more demand for him than ever before. Definitely tracking worse than even Take My Breath. And unlike other people I think the song is pretty good, maybe not immediately jumping out at you, but probably takes a little time to sink in and fully click, so its potential as a grower is probably its only chance now.

Carti has build his status with high profile features (Type Shit, FE!N and Carnival), but only FE!N has had remarkable legs in terms of Hot 100 success. I wouldn't expect All Red to have them either, especially after listening to the track couple of times.

It might debut in top 15-20 though which would be great for him.

It could absolutely go #1 in October or November if radio really hops onboard by then. The streaming has been phenomenal, no reason to expect it to die down after such incredible consistency for a full month.
