Most weeks in the top 2: 25 As It Was 21 Stay 21 Last Night 21 All I Want For Christmas Is You 19 Old Town Road "AIWFCIY" will surely match the record this season, and more than likely will take the record on its own. So, that's another record to watch. I mean, at some point, every record will be AIWFCIY's. Most weeks on the Hot 100, weeks at #1, top 2, top 3, top 5, top 10, top 20, top 40, biggest song of all time...

I know it's unlikely to happen, but it would be poetic if "Birds of a Feather" dethrones "A Bar Song (Tipsy) off #1, considering it's also Billie Eilish with "Bad Guy" ended the 19-week reign of "Old Town Road" at #1 5 years ago What poem would that be

Yeah, it's certainly possible, but I was just noting that specific record will 99% be broken this season. The weeks at #1 record will be a stretch for this season, if it does get there. Assuming the Spotify playlisting stays the same, I can see "RATCT" getting at least 3 weeks at #1 again this year, if not more. That would mean "AIWFCIY" will have to wait, and it could mean that over time "RATCT" ends up being the song to get the most weeks at #1.

To be fair and this is no shade to Shaboozey, but a chart where his song is #1 for so long yet Espresso can't even get #2 at all is a little disconnected from cultural impact. I know that's not what H100 measures but still, I can't help but feel like in their attempt to make it more accurate they've kinda made it possible for these songs like Beautiful Things and Lose Control to stay parked near the top spots for so long when most of the audiences have moved on.

Espresso definitely feels like a 7-8 weeks #1 smash to me, but the competition was REALLY strong during Espresso's peak weeks, so I kinda get it. It's not a situation where One More Night blocked Gangnam Style because of the radio, or Butter g4u for like 9 weeks at #1? because of those massive sales. A Bar Song is the most consumed song of the year (based on TOTC), with 6M units, Espresso is like #7-8 with 4.7M. Kinda similar thing as last year, when Morgan dominated with Last Night (I mean, 19 weeks at #1 on the streaming chart...), when Flowers was for sure the most recognizable song of the year. Flowers was #1 on Global's 200 YE chart tho, so I guess that chart is more representative because it's global?

Who even listens to the radio anymore besides when standing in the elevator for 30 seconds at Macy's?
