Vaulting back to the Top 3 is Atlantic's Charli xcx, whose expanded Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat is projected to do 110k. Meanwhile, GloRilla’s Glorious (CMG/Interscope) will open in the Top 5 with 60k.

With the massive promo Jelly has done and successful singles, I thought he would trend a bit higher but it is still very respectable.
GLo in the top 5 is also pretty impressive

^GaGa was #5 in the UK mid-week's chart so I assumed the UK/USA would have the same ship date. The UK variants were shipped later than the initial US copies. It was always planned like that, it seemed like the priority was US and then UK a couple weeks later. It said that during the preorder that UK would ship later than US. |

In my country, the physical release date for Harlequin is 18th as well. It seems that it was 11th only in the UK.
Pretty weird that even THAT level of dominance on AM might not provide Rod Wave a #1 spot.

Two competitors are going down to the wire for #1 on this week’s HITS Top 50. For now, the race is too close to call.
BBR/Republic’s Jelly Roll and Atlantic’s Charli xcx were battling it out for the top spot at press time. Jelly’s Beautifully Broken, which held the lead at midweek, was forecast to open in the neighborhood of 150k, with most of its activity coming from pure sales. Coming in hot with a deluxe expansion of BRAT, including a boost in streaming activity and digital and physical offerings, is Charli, who also had two extremely buzzy shows at Inglewood’s Kia Forum this week. As of this writing, both combatants look to land somewhere between the high 140s and the low 150s.
While Rod Wave generated significant streams—especially at Apple Music—with Last Lap, the Alamo star will be receiving a bronze medal this week.
Team Jelly has Republic CORPS captain Jim Roppo, a seasoned sales pro who’s scored countless #1 victories, guiding the ship. On the other side, Charli’s being supported by a hungry new Atlantic executive team, led by Zach Friedman, that just last week earned the label’s first #1 of 2024 with Coldplay’s Moon Music.
How will this tight chart fight play out? We may have an answer for you today, but this one is still very much up in the air. Don’t touch that dial.

Judging by Jelly Roll's tweet, it makes me think that Charli XCX made it to the top, right? Unless, he's dissatisfied with the margin of difference between Beautifully Broken and Brat. Anyway, I'm team Charlotte, so I hope Brat climbed to #1 this week, so it will be amazing for her to have a simultaneous #1 album in both the UK and the US.

I agree with this. It's basically the week where Brat was pushed the most with all the original vinyl versions being shipped, the remix album being out and being attached to the main one, etc., so it was understandable that there was going to be this hype surrounded it. A #2 climb is still great because it will be the new peak of the album, but a #1 would be amazing of course. |
