Why bother sending it to Active Rock a week early?

Why bother sending it to Active Rock a week early? I imagine with the way that Alternative has picked up on "Cigaro", many radio stations will just play this single as soon as they possibly can. I hope I like this better than "Cigaro".

Yes, its called "Aerials" and it was #1 on alternative for 5 weeks. Its also off their album Toxicity. I thought it only topped the chart for a week. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I hope I like this better than "Cigaro". Me too. I still can't believe how quickly radio jumped on that "song" when it wasn't even announced as an official single.

Although I have to admit I like "Cigaro," I do hope the whole album (and this song) isn't going to be like that.

Okay, I'll admit I'm over 'Cigaro', but it's a combination for hearing new SOD, and laughing my ass off, that made me love that song. But seriously, I hope the single's better.

They just apply to American radio stations...but the likelyhood is since the album has a worldwide release, you should expect to hear it around the same time.

Never mind, I found the date -- March 29.
And "BYOB" stands for "Bring Your Own Bombs". Oh boy...

Heard this song less than an hour ago on K-Rock.
Think Cigaro with a lot more melody.
Pretty heavy, but it does hold it's tenderness on the side.

Can't wait to hear this song and its video. And the whole album, basically. I still haven't even heard "Cigaro", as 89x honestly thinks the song is in a 'leaked' state, as if not a single radio station has gotten their hands on it.

This could be the official cover for the new album Mesmerize. It's also seen @ Amazon.com and Wikipedia.org Though, thanks for the MP3 from the zip file.

I just caught about half or so on KISW. I honestly don't know what to think, but I know I like it. The melody sounded like a cross between "Cigaro" and a pop-punk song, I don't know how else to describe it.
All I know, though, is that KNDD better play this song. They seem to talk about the new SOAD releases about once a week or so on their Music News segments, yet they never touched "Cigaro". I assumed it was because it was never an "official" single and didn't blow up nationwide. I guess I can let that slide, but if they don't play this one, I'll have to seriously consider not listening to them anymore (especially if they're still gonna play the three Toxicity singles).

System of a Down are back! It sounds a lot like their material from Toxicity, but it's also very different, if that makes sense. I LOVE this song. I'm pleased! :)
At one point, it sounds like there's a girl doing background vocals. :o Is it just me?

Man, this is crap. I mean, why is this band even on Alternative anyway? They should be strictly Active Rock.

I mean, why is this band even on Alternative anyway? They should be strictly Active Rock. Alternative isn't the same thing as "not hard". That's why you see bands like Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, and Tool racking up gold airplay. I can see the argument for bands like Three Days Grace and Godsmack not being played on alternative. But bands like SOAD and Tool are, as it was once called, "thinking man's metal". Meaning they have more to them than your generic metal band. I'm sure someone else can explain it better than me, so I'll let them take a shot at it.

Saw a TV ad for Mezmerize (I guess the misspelling is 'artistic license') earlier today. That album cover is killer.
And many thanks to anyone that ever posts links to these songs that I would otherwise have to wait an eternity to ever hear on the radio (if that).
I love the three Toxicity singles and feel they are superior compositions, but it's refreshing to hear a considerably more abrasive single from System. I can't wait for Mezmerize.
