I dont get where Rumors is coming from either. Its really not uncommon for artists to have at least plans for a second (and even third) single before the first single peaks or even sooner. Its not like they wait until the first single is dropping and then say, oh shit, what do we do? Lets try to find a producer last second even though its the fall and probably busy. Wait what single do we choose?? These things normally are planned a little ahead of time.

Aren't singles usually planned out even before the album is released and unless there's a change of plans, they're usually carried out? I mean, quite often on the sticker on the album it will list "featuring X, Y and Z" and most times, those are the songs chosen as singles. Now, it could be coincidentally but it also be those are the most likely, if not cemented, choices.

I would assume that usually is the case, but I've seen in many situations where bands wait until that previous single has lost all its power to decide on a new single. I guess it depends on the time and state of that particular album or band.

Yep-like American Idiot said, it depends on the artist and situation, but for artists like The Killers (and many others) a game plan is normally in place before the first single even comes out. Singles, directors, timing (of course, things can change very quickly, but sometimes they do not) I hope they do have a solid follow up-looks like Young is an alternative hit though.

Ok, I just realised who they are sounding and looking like! Weezer! Don't you think? That's not a bad thing, I much prefer Killers-Weezer than Killers-Dance/Rock!

I was kind of hoping that, this week, the Killers would sneak in a week at #1 for the first time ever. Now, it appears MCR will leapfrog RHCP and the Killers for that #1 spot, making it their first #1 ever. Unlike last year, I really like how '00s artists are making triumphant returns with major hit singles.

^^ They topped the BB Modern Rock Tracks this week. So it's their first #1 hit. Congratulations!

I got the album the other day & it reminded me of their debut. They're so strange with their music, but I do enjoy it!
