I still say that them and Agent Sparks are in cahoots. Polly Anne, Anna Molly. I'm not crazy!

It's pretty hookless, but it could be a slow grower like Juicebox.

^ My thoughts exactly, except for the "Juicebox" part.

I'm dying to hear this, but I have been exercising much discipline in not clicking that link. I really want to hear this premiere on radio first, but mid-October, which is almost three weeks away, might be pushing it. I'm beginning to think the leaking of this song will not help this band by any means in scoring "comeback" success.

I see that KUCD has been playing this. That said, I'm trying to resist listening to this any more so that it still sounds fresh to me upon the adds date.

Nothing special. Somebody had an interesting take on the song saying that it was a little bit of Morning View mixed with A Crow Left...
I'd agree with that.

Im likin the song! its better than the past few singles they've put out (Megalomaniac, Talk Shows On Mute, Make A Move). I looked them up on wikipedia and it says Sick Sad Little World and Agoraphobia were released on radio. I never heard em. just wanna know if they were or not...

"Agoraphobia" was supposed to be the third single, and there was a promo CD for it, but it never went for adds. "Sick Sad Little World" was never intended to be a radio single as far as I know - some stations just chose to play it on their own.

No. Some stations did start to play Sick Sad Little World for some reason, but Agoraphobia was always meant to be the official third single. Neither trains of thought ever panned out though.

I thought it was :O I charted it on my chart. I liked all the singles from the last album, especially 'Megalomaniac'. One of my favourite rock songs of the 2000s, for sure!

Just under two weeks before the adds date, this song is about to enter the top 50.

This single appears to be really struggling all of a sudden.
Just like "Make A Move", it had a strong first week, but now the last three days "Anna Molly" has been stuck at #18-#19 and total spins have only inched up marginally. And though it's true it has already been pusged before its official release date, it already has picked up plays on 73 stations.
Could this be a sign of fatigue for Incubus?
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

it seems like everyone here is used to seeing songs rocket up the chart, thinking thats the only way the song will do well. so what if this song isn't getting instant success. every band has songs that do really well right off the bat, others that take a little time to gain moment. not to the mention the fact U.S. radio seems to be stuck with the same top 15 songs for 5 months before anything else gets success.

You have to consider, however, that previous lead singles from Incubus had massive debuts as well, which held ground until they soared into the Top 5. "Wish You Were Here" and "Megalomaniac" both had whopping chart movement in their first weeks of release, with "Wish You Were Here" reaching its peak of #2 by its third week of release, and "Megalomaniac" debuted at #7 on the Modern Rock chart, which from there crawled up the chart and eventually peaked at #1. It's certainly not out of the question that "Anna Molly" may also have longevity and crawl up the chart to a respectable peak eventually. But I also think it's a considerable sign when a lead single from a staple Alternative artist is already slowing down and making minimal daily spin gains just after entering the Top 20, which may indicate that their "staple status" may be beginning to erode. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Well when I first saw this single in the charts I said WTF, I thought it may be the new Dani California, but as I was looking to My Chemical Romance's single which had almost the same great starting, today even if its in the high positions it can't be compared with Dani California, or Vicarious of Tool...
I don't know how well their previous singles went but this one can make it really good and I mean in the next days/weeks can surely go in the top 5, how fast its increase will slow down, remains a mystery...We'll see...

I think the pre-adds date leak of the song has adversely affected its rise up the charts. "Megalomaniac" was kept under wraps until the adds date, and so pretty much every station jumped on it immediately. I don't know if that was also the case with "WYWH".

Well, it doesn't officially go for adds until next week, so we'll have to wait and see.

This song is impressing the hell out of me. I always considered Megalomaniac one of my favorite five or six songs of all time, and Anna Molly is right up there with it. I don't think this will peak at #1 but it undoubedtly will rise to the top 10 in my opinion.

What I was suggesting before is that its debut in comparison to previous lead single debuts is disappointing chart-wise, and if this can't make the Top 5, this is going to look like a commerical disappointment to many, and raise many questions if Incubus is the next Alternative staple artist beginning to ride off into history's sunset and have more modest chartings from here on out. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Anna Molly is really
anomaly |??nΓ€m?l?| noun ( pl. -lies) 1 something that deviates from what is standard, normal, or expected : there are a number of anomalies in the present system | a legal anomaly | [with clause ] the apparent anomaly that those who produced the wealth were the poorest | the position abounds in anomaly.
Brandon explained this in a radio interview in San Francisco.

With one Alternative station not having added any new music in the past 2+ months, and the other going overboard on how "broad" their playlist has allegedly become, to the detriment of airplay for new music, I haven't even heard this yet.

I hope so. MCR is about to lose its bullet, but unfortunately this song is also starting to slow down. It should at least overtake Stone Sour and make it to #2 though.
