No F, as much as I like MCR, Muse is just as good if not better than them. It would be the same equivalent of like Maroon 5 opening up for James Blunt in the UK, come on.

This has been the confirmed second single off of their latest albums Black Holes And Revelations. This song was already in the Top 50 for UK downloads without being released and if you ask me, is the clear cut Multi-Format hit that radio has been waiting for. With the tempo of the song and the time of the year, I think this song could be one of the Modern Rock staples of this decade and that likely this will be a Top 10 on Hot AC and perhaps even a Top 20 on POP. I am very excited for this song's release. Quite possibly a wild call, but I'm going to say this is going to be one of the Top 10 Hits on Alternative for 2007. Not to be a complete d-bag, but I do want to point out making this prediction back in August. I do think this will be Top 10 for the year on Alternative in 2007. We'll see about the others.

GO PAYOLA! WAY TO SMACK IT!
I hope they just do their own tour. Please, sweet Jesus, bring Matt to NYC some time around (but not before) mid May.

Ugh. I bought tickets on Friday for Muse/MCR. (And yeah, I was more excited to see Muse.)

Meanwhile, the closest this is coming to even Missouri (let alone St. Louis) is Chicago, I believe. F**k a bunch of that.

I hope they can get to #1 before NIN. Only about 150 spins away...

2 1 THREE DAYS GRACE Pain 1879 1938 -59 8.784 1 2 RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS Snow (Hey Oh) 1875 1976 -101 8.813 5 3 MUSE Starlight 1716 1617 99 9.039
Yep, it's getting tight at the top. It'd be sweet if Muse manages to sneak into the top spot before NIN inevitably takes over.

Well, no Hot 100 appearance this week. Fell from 1-9 on Bubbling Under.

THE NEXT #1 rock track (fingers crossed) NOT ON THE HOT 100?
The charts DO lie.

I heard Lord-Alge is doing a Radio Edit, I don't see how that will work.

That f**king Three Days Grace song needs to die. Muse are trying to get their first #1 here. NIN can be staved off for awhile.
1 1 THREE DAYS GRACE Pain 2006 Jive/Zomba 1950 1877 73 9.194 3 2 MUSE Starlight 2006 Warner Bros. 1824 1726 98 10.029
btw since they have by far the largest audience on the format, and a +1 million increase since last week, this shit better debut on the Hot 100 this week. >:(

Yeah, fuck "Pain". At least those audience numbers prove that Warner Bros. doesn't wish to sink lowly enough on behalf of Muse to buy spins from Timbuktu just to give themselves a #1 hit.
Actually Warner Bros. is showing surprising competency just getting "Starlight" as far as it's come. I figured with all the stores people are hearing the song in that this should be on Hot AC and AC as well, but they don't know what's going on.

If it doesn't make it this week for some reason, it'll have to settle for a #2 peak. NIN invading the top spot next week is pretty much guaranteed. But it should make it for a week before NIN.
