I noticed that the beginning of "A Beautiful Lie" is played at the end of the video. Thats probably indication of the possible 4th single.

Blast Mtv2 and their requirements to have windoze media player 9 to play the video. I have windoze media player 10. Whore.
I love how the website actually says it's directed by Bartholemew Cubbins though. :).

The video is great.
Esp when that old topless guy is with that woman.
Amazing. I couldn't find the re-release at Wal*Mart tonight.
I'll have to check it out on Friday when I go to a bigger town.

Do they have any upcoming performances of this song on TV? I really want them to promote the heck outta this song. It's never been performed on TV before. I've seen it in concert & it was amazing but I'd like to hear it live, without fans screaming & singing along

I don't think they have any TV performances scheduled.

What the H. Just when you think Mtv can't stoop any lower, they put a commercial break in the middle of playing the video. That's just a rule that shouldn't even have to be written. I can just picture an Mtv exec saying "This video's so long, let's break for commercials right in the middle; it'll be funny, and we'll get lots of undeserved money from our sponsors. And while we're at it, let's 3 times refer to this song as "The Kill", and place our stupid logo in just the place where it'll block half the subtitles that they put up. They're in Chinese anyway, nobody can read that, and nobody's gonna outsource my job to them..."
They really need to pick someplace else to premiere their videos. Like, on CBS during the Super Bowl. Probably wouldn't cost much more than it took to actually make this video.

Looking back at my "album ranker" for this album, I placed "From Yesterday" 11th, just before "The Battle of One." (Hey, somebody's gotta come in last. I can't put all of 'em in the Top 6, because it's a 12-track album. The reason it's ranked so low is because I imagine critics who dismiss the band and album as overblown and melodramatic citing that song as a prime example. Plus, Jared's singing at the upper limit of his register for just about all of the chorus and then he goes and pushes it over the top. I just imagine that song being dreadful to hear live.
Anyway, this morning, I heard a fourth of it for the first time on the radio, when my alarm went off. Funny how airplay often gives an album cut a whole new perspective. It sounded great and I can't wait for local radio to pick up on it more.

The most recent of my 11 30STM concerts was actually the first time I saw "From Yesterday" live, and that's exactly why. He either takes it down an octave or does what he does a little bit too often, and that's let the crowd sing it for him. God, as good of a song "The Kill" is, that's become one of the worst parts of their set because it makes up 100% of their casual recognition, and Jared probably sings about a quarter of the words.

During my concert "From Yesterday" sounded different in a few parts. It was weird, I thought he forgot the words or something. I dunno how to describe it. I'm really just waiting for a live TV performance because that'll really show us how he does it because we won't be hearing screaming fans from all over the place. As for "The Kill," he does that one amazing live in concert & on TV.

By the way, I just learned that the re-release is now coming out on December 5, 2006. Ah, no wonder all we had to put out was still the original version. This is what my album ranker looked like earlier this year, probably before "The Kill" even was released: 01. The Kill 02. A Beautiful Lie 03. Attack 04. Hunter (I was already completely familiar with Bjork's version. I dig how Jared changed "Scandanavian" into "American" :))05. Was It a Dream? 06. Savior 07. The Fantasy 08. A Modern Myth/(hidden track) 09. R-Evolve 10. The Story 11. From Yesterday 12. The Battle of One

There's a hidden track on the album? "The Battle Of One" & "Hunter" are not mentioned on the back of the CD case, if you notice. I dunno if it's in the booklet or not. I don't know why they're hidden tracks. They're some of my favorites on the album. The only new thing the re-release will have is that rebirth of "The Kill."

The hidden track is called "Praying For A Riot", which plays after a few minutes of silence following "A Modern Myth". "Hunter" and "The Battle Of One" are just bonus tracks that may not have ever seen the light of day if the album hadn't been leaked before it was mastered. Another benefit brought to you by illegal downloading.

I hate hidden tracks. So annoying that I have to fast forward though like 5 or more minutes of silence to hear a mystery song.

I realize sometimes those hidden tracks that you have to skip through are worth hearing if its an actual decent song (most recently the new Smile Empty Soul album), but the majority of the time its just the band acting like bunch of jackasses laughing and breaking things (Limp Bizkit I'm talking to you). It bothers me especially when I'm listening to a hidden track on a CD in the car, that I have to hold down the fast forward for an eternity button, which ruins the physical CD.

On the ones on both Lisa Marie Presley albums, you only have to wait less than a minute.

Hmm...the video is definitely epic. Don't know if that's a good thing, knowing how much money they (Jared?) blew just to make this. More fuel for the critical fire, that's for sure.
