April 2nd is the add date for the first single, called "What I've Done". Is there an echo in here?

I think I can wait.
When I first heard In The End I thought "WTF is this", but it eventually grew on me. However, ever since then I've realized just how off the voices are, how boring the instruments are, the RAP...it's really not worth listening to. After that I heard One Step Closer, and it was so god-awful I never wanted to listen to a Linkin Park song again.
Obviously that never happened, because then Somewhere I Belong got played everywhere. Not only was it a weak first single, it had all the problems of In The End. I was severly disappointed. After that, Faint (completely forgettable and had one of the worst vocals yet), then Numb (their most average song yet), and Lying From You (every bit as bad as One Step Closer. How it got to #1 is beyond me). I was ready to give up until Breaking The Habit, probably their best single yet (but even still the little techno beeps and boops draw too much attention away from the song).
And then the thing with Jay-Z...what was that?!?
So yeah...I'll listen to this, but I'm not anticipating it at all.

OUCH! that was just brutal, way to rain on the LP party. :) i used to not like LP but the music just gets me pumped.

I'm anticipating the three paragraph post you'll make afterward explaining just how and why you hate the song, how much you hate the band for making it, and the exact flavor and texture of the hate and how it would taste well with a nice sauce. Then your head explodes.

I agree with picpak , Breaking The Habit was the only song of theirs I ever really liked and I am not anticipating this at all.
Anyways , this will surely hit #1 on at least two of the three rock formats. I think the real question which has to be answered is how fast it will get there.

I too believe "Breaking Their Habit" is their only "great" single to date. Virtually every other single they've released sounds too similar to one another. If "What I've Done" is released at the beginning of the week of its release, it'll debut at #1. If it is released later in the week, it will reach #1 within a week. Period. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

So in short, I'm glad you guys are pumped, but it's just not my cup of tea. (BTW: I don't hate Linkin Park THAT much.)

Six Minutes....there will be no doubt a radio edit after a week. Pop Radio can barely handle songs being over four minutes.

I don't honestly think they're even going to push it to pop. If they push it to pop it'll merely be because of name value. No pop date yet.

I've never owned a Linkin Park CD but I generally like most of the songs I hear from them. I hope they do a Greatest Hits soon, lol!
I'm kinda looking forward to this.

I'm kinda looking forward to this. The funny part is that even with only two real albums to their name, they actually do have enough singles for a greatest hits. One Step Closer Crawling Papercut In The End Points Of Authority Somewhere I Belong Faint Lying From You Numb From The Inside Breaking The Habit Speaking of crazy shit, it's official. Linkin Park is Def Leppard.

That's a cool design and all, but not appealing as a logo for Linkin Park. But y'know...they didn't ask me what I thought.
