For those interested, Linkin Park's Projekt Revolution 2007 is now rumored to feature My Chemical Romance, Taking Back Sunday, Placebo, Mindless Self Indulgence, HIM, Saosin, and The Bled. I read that tonight and am already there.

12 is actually considering a pretty good amount these days. It was quite different 10-15 years ago when you'd see most albums with 14 or 15 or even 311's Transistor album had 21.

Transistor was overwrought and bottom-heavy. Basically it sucked.
Yeah, I said it. Whatcha gonna do?

A four year wait for 12 short tracks?

How do you know they're short? Supposedly they've got solos now. Maybe they're all five minutes each. You don't know.

This album is being hyped to no end, especially now on AOL music where they're saying that the album blows everything out of the water that they'd done before.
This BETTER be that good.

Transistor was overwrought and bottom-heavy. Basically it sucked. Yeah, I said it. Whatcha gonna do? They put so many songs on it because they felt they had to compensate for not releasing an album in 1996. Having objectivity now, it's definitely too long, but over half of it is top notch stuff.

And I'm saying they should've made that half the album and left the rest in the crapper.

No way. The more 311 the world listens to, the better we all are, even if some of the songs are teh suck. That is why the "next track" button is awesome so the listener can choose what or not to listen to.

That is why the "next track" button is awesome so the listener can choose what or not to listen to. If nobody's listening to it, then there's no reason for it to exist! It's like if a tree falls in the woods and no one's around, does anyone care? If 311 writes a song and it sucks and everyone skips over it, then what was the point of putting it on the album?

Damn man, I'm just joking around. Someone in all the way in Zimbabwe may love the total opposite of the album that say I hate, that's why I believe the more tracks the better!

I'm actually fascinated by how Warner Bros has been able to keep this thing from getting out on the net (the single, as of now). But as rumors flying around saying the ENTIRE album is to be given to some radio stations isn't a good thing...
...well, it could be good for fans if it somehow slips out earlier than expected.
I haven't been this anticipated for an albums since '05.
