That's why it's a new album. ;) Well of course, but I'm talking songs named "Bleed It Out," "Valentines Day," and "The Little Things Give You Away" just don't sound like their type. The guys have been saying in their interviews that this album will be a big departure from what they have done in the past. They seem to think the punk/rock/rap thing has past it's time, and that they need a new direction.

That's good...and yet, at the same time it's one of the most cliched things they could do.

I think it's a great song. Kind of similar to "Numb" or "Somewhere I Belong" from Meteora. The only thing I don't like is that there's no real Mike presence. I think it's Mike doing the "na na na" at the end of the song, but that's weak to only give him that to do. I'm sure he'll be on the album, but for a first single, I'd think they'd want to represent both vocalists.

This song is on FIYAH!! Their best single BY FAR!!!!
Linkin Park is my favoritest band! I like how they combine the sounds of death metal, My Chemical Romance, and Crazy Frog.

I think its a good song, although I'm not "blown away" by it. I do wish it had some rapping part in it, but that's alright since I'm sure the rest of the album has some Shinoda involvement. I still expect this to get no worse than number one wouldn't be surprised if it happened in the next few weeks considering that just about every station in the country may start playing it tomorrow. As long as the album rocks, I don't really care if this first single isn't incredible.

It's pretty good, they haven't evolved at all but that's not a bad thing. I've always liked some of their singles.
I wonder if it will do well, I can see some people being upset that is sounds like their old stuff.

Wait...it actually leaked? The way he said "It's in Spanish" I thought it was an October Fool's Joke. I wish it were in Spanish... :( Perhaps Linkin Park should pull a Jennifer Lopez? Wouldn't that be a grand idea? Ha! I wouldn't listen to it, but perhaps others would. I admit the quality is 160kbs and not close to good but tomorrow we can all have the full song legally and hear it in it's full. Can't wait!

I'm disappointed but that was pretty much inevitable because my expectations were way to high, it's still alright though. I really hope the rest of the albums harder.

Seems like Warner Bros. is going ape on the web sites holding the crappy radio-rip of WID. So far, from what I've read, these sites are being attacked with legal notices such as this... hahninator.sotrix.net/lpa/legal2.txtSites being threatened (as of now) are as follows... www.curefortheitch.comwww.linkinpark.cl <- Original host of WID www.lpassociation.com...and the list will probably keep growing. Hell, there's probably way more than that... Just some interesting news to lay out to everyone. It's not UNCOMMON news, just news.

Hmm, it's actually not that bad. I mean, as a first single it's terrible, but as a song by itself, it's pretty nice. Almost sounds like Stone Sour.

Hmm. I don't know. I guess I expected more. Even though LP's genre is by no means my cup of tea, I always felt that this band were smarter & more musically-proficient than people give them credit for. With few exceptions, I also found their singles to be distinctive & well-written. However, I feel that perhaps in an effort to separate themselves from the nu-metal tag, they've removed TOO many of their key natural elements from their sound without really moving into a new direction, if this song is representative of the album as a whole. Here, they've lessened the electronic/hard rock contrast (in addition to the Mike/Shester contrast) that I could appreciate in their previous work, in order to focus on a vaguely post-punk guitar style that didn't quite work for me. The songwriting relies heavily on melodic sequences they've already overused; the chorus is a subpar, warmed over outtake from "Numb". I guess it might grow on me, but if it doesn't, I'm not going to cry about it.
