Oops, forgot to say....yes, I am getting sick of Michelle, Justin, Christina, etc. ....but one person I won't be getting sick of anytime soon is Beyonce. I've been hearing from her from "No, No, No," to "Say My Name," to "Survivior," to "03 Bonnie & Clyde" to "Crazy In Love & Baby Boy"....... .......and I'm still not sick of her. Her voice is too satisfying. She will be releasing another solo-album sometime between now and January. Because by February she'll be recording again with Destiny's Child. Do you think she can get another single out of Dangerously In Love? "Me, Myself & I" is going for adds in two weeks. Basically, as soon as that starts slowing down, Sony will be sending out the new single from her sophomore album.

Another single already! "Baby Boy" still hasn't peaked and is one of the greatest gainers. IMO, her singles keep flying out of nowhere and eventually it's going to catch up with her, she's going to make radio sick of her if she keeps going at this rate. It could also have an effect on Destiny's Child performance on radio.

This song is really catchy and my prediction is #5. I think it is the best choice for a second single, but if she releases "Tuesday morning" as her third single in the winter, I predict #1 for that song.

With the exception of "Jumpin Jumpin" and "Independent Woman", Destiny's Child have always had fast rise/fast falls, the reason their singles always fall fast is because the next single always gets released too early, Beyonce is just following what DC does best. "Baby Boy" will most likely lose it's bullet in 3 weeks or so if "Me, Myself, and I" really is going for adds soon.

Two things.
Adds dates can be pushed back. Since Baby Boy currently has a Mediabase audience of 192 million, it doesn't make sense to release the next song so soon.
Secondly, I've also been getting very tired of Michelle Branch. I love "All You Wanted" and it was in contention for my favorite song of 2002, but the rest of her songs are really mediocre. Everytime I grade "Are You Happy Now?" on the report card, it got a lower and lower grade. It's now practically unlistenable. Breathe is slightly better, but I'm just tired of her voice. I don't think I'll bother charting it.

Okay, I just heard the "Breathe" for the first time this morning... and to my surprise, it was really good. I kept on thinking that this would be a slow track, but it turned out that it was not a slow track... In fact, it was very upbeat. I love it, and hope that it can go top 10, or even top 5.

The video is really weird. They're [Michelle and her band] performing in this room and the walls start tearing down and they end up singing on the beach with the water washing up on them.

What website do you go to to see the add dates? I go to AllAccess but I don't remember seeing Beyonce with a 3rd single and some other songs that have been mentioned in past topics...........

Thank god, she's only releasing 3 singles off this album. The 2nd half of the cd is too slow for my tastes. I'm quite surprised she didn't decide to release "Hip Hop Star", "Yes" or "Naughty Girl". But anyway, I still think this is a good choice for a 3rd single. Btw, wasn't "Naughty Girl" slated to be a release to Europe?

"Breathe" has been alowing down extremely, maybe it will have a slow ride. But it surely does not deserve to be her lowest peaking single.
I like the video, it is much better than the one for "Are You Happy Now?" It fits the song and I like how everything slowly deteriorates.

I am absolutely dumbstruck watching this flop. The song sounds tailor made for pop radio and with the current Hot AC move by CHR/Pop, I'd think this would be nearing the Top 10. I'm sure it's flopping because I like it.

Say My Name also spent 21 weeks on the chart, one more week than IW (which peaked at #1 for 7 weeks).

So "Breathe" is going to make top 30 tonight on CHR/Pop right? I'm glad to see that her gains are picking back up once again.

It should make Top 30, unless they forget to remove Beyoncé or Jason Mraz.

Does anyone see a similar thing happening with this songs as it did with Beyoncé? We are all surprised how "Baby Boy" took so long to make Top 30, but once it got there it shot it's way all the way to Top 3. Could this happen with Michelle? She probably won't be making as big of in impact of Beyoncé, but I can definitely see Top 5.

I am by no means a fan of Michelle Branch (although I did like "All You Wanted" a lot, and "The Game of Love") but I thought this song sounded like a hit from first listen. MUCH better than "AYHN?" if you ask me. This should've been the first single, as it could have gotten her a #1 if it were the lead single.

I don't think it should have been the first single, "Are You Happy Now?" really showed a change in direction. Her growing as an artist.

Eh, to me it just sounded like a messy, inferior knock off of Dido's "Don't Think Of Me." I couldn't bare listening to that song in its entirety even once... and her screechy vocals were the most annoying ever on that song. That's why I say "Breathe" is much better.

I agree, I also think "Breathe" is better, but I just don't think it would be the right first single.

I think while "Are You Happy Now" showed growth and did very well, it will hurt possibly all of her future singles. It was more hype than quality. I got caught up in that hype, but it was definitely not as good as I thought.

Maybe Nelly Furtado will follow the same path. After seeing her at #41 with a +777, she's now at +268 or so and struggling in the 30s.
