I'm very happy to see this +790 at CHR/Pop right now.
I predict #1.

I don't like this song at all. It reminds me of an Alanis song. I predict a #7 peak for this song. Michelle has never scored a #1 hit before, and there is no reason she will anytime soon, at least not with this song!

I think she should easily make top 5. As for #1, I doubt it.

I dont like this song either. Its not horrible, but nothing special. I predict 7-10ish. Did anyone see her singing this on Tv recently? She was lipping and not even playing guitar It sounded more Faith Hillish to me than Alanis though (at least the "live" version)

There are better songs than this on her album. I'll say a peak at #9.

I always pick the weirdest songs to really like. When "Feel Good Time" came out, I thought it was awesome, and I was never a Pink fan. Same with this song. "Breathe" marks the first time that Michelle Branch has had a solo hit on my chart. Oh well.

I like this song, but I rather have seen "Tuesday Morning" released, even though it may have not done as well as I predict "Breathe" will do, I'll say a for sure Top 10, but not Top 3. #4 - #7.

It sounds nothing like an Alanis song! ???
Alanis would never write such rubbish.

I think this song will peak in the Top 5, but not #1. It's very catchy and it will be a definite #1 on my chart.

The Vibe of the song sounds like Alanis' "You Learn".

I'm so tired of Michelle Branch lately. She's quite boring, artisticly.

#7 I'm so tired of Michelle Branch lately. She's quite boring, artisticly. I agree. Also, her voice just irritates me now. However, I was slightly anticipating her sophomore album. But then she released "AYHN?" as the first single and it killed any anticipation I had. Really poor single choice, IMO. I like "Breathe" a lot more, but not really enough to rekindle whatever enthusiasm I had for a new M. Branch single. If "Breathe" were the first single though, it possibly could have been business as usual.

Her album is not selling well. So, I don't think this song wil dothat well. I say about #12.

Her album is not selling well. So, I don't think this song wil dothat well. I say about #12. An album not selling well does not always translate to poor single performance on the pop chart. It's not a sure thing relationship. For example, Black Eyed Peas' Elephunk only reached #26 on the Billboard albums 200, but produced a huge pop #1. Undoubtedly, there are many many other examples. I like the song and I think it could hit the top 10, but most likely not #1.

I agree about Michelle Branch being kinda boring and her voice is so irritating! I really don't see ANYTHING special about her...

It's so weird that once an artist has a few hits and they are seen as a current "it" artist (which I would kinda place Michelle in that category now), people come out of the shadows and say how they don't like her anymore or they never liked her or something. Note that I'm not discounting everyone's opinions at all, I'm just saying that I kinda expected people to come out now. For me, I never knew what the big deal was with Michelle either and still don't think she's anything spectacular but I really like her CD and that's good enough for me. :) If Sarah McLAchlan has a few hits from her new CD, who wants to bet peeps will pop up and say how they are disappointed that she's not the same Sarah anymore and they don't like her new CD and stuff. ;) This after a few big hits and praise after praise.

I do see what you are saying. In this case, I have never liked Michelle Branch a lot. On rronline, it seemed like 90% of the people worshipped her-every song she releases is a guranteed 1 or 2, her album is always the best of the year, she is the most talented artist of the past several years, shes mindblowing, etc... Which I never understood. Not only has she never had a 1, (even with what I think is her best song to date-All You Wanted), but both of her albums I own I think are pretty mediocre. Not horrible, but absolutely nothing standout. And her live singing voice is embarassing. So I have never understood the hero worship with her And I am shocked people here are actually speaking against her a little. Reminds me of Janet Jackson-I have honestly never liked Janet Jackson. I like maybe 1-2 songs and I think her albums are pretty mediocre. But so many people think she is amazing. I guess it just comes down to different tastes :)

I never really like her personality, but I do like her stuff. Its just now, musically, she's boring. That or maybe I've just moved on to something else.

It's like with Avril too. I didn't hear a bad thing said about her until after she hit #1 with 'Complicated'. Then people were saying how bad of a singer she was. It's like suddenly, just because she had a #1 hit, her voice suddenly went bad. That's kinda the impression I get. Good comments as a new artist and then suddenly, the artist's songs go from good to bad just because they've had a pop hit or two. When I first came to the board, before J-Lo/Ja Rule, people praised Jennifer Lopez pretty much a lot. Same with Destiny's Child before BeyoncΓ© got loose (before 'Emotion' or 'Bootylicious') and others.

Finally, more people who aren't in love with Michelle Branch.
She is mediocre, and there is nothing spectacular about her.
She only seems big in the US and not really a global superstar. She has never made the Top 15 singles here in Australia, and I dont think Top 20 either.
The hype around her on the American pop charts confuses me? ???

I always thought it was weird her main popularity centers in America, while in foreign places she seems to not do well at all. I think her last album sold near 2 million in America, worldwide slightly over 2 million (which isnt much at all) It seems like since America is in love with her, that should translate everywhere else

I like Michelle Branch and own both of her albums, there both good. I can see where many of you are coming from especially now, her voice is slowly getting worn on radio, after 5 rather successful hits and now a 6th one nearing #40, it's typical that an artist gets old on radio. Other artist have suffered the same way, I think Justin Timberlake's voice has been worn out on radio, 5 songs in the last 12 months! I'm tired of his voice! However, if you take a break without being on radio for a while, at least a year, you can come back and people won't mind your voice, because they haven't heard it for a while, for me this is true of Rob Thomas or John Rzeznik, who always seem to take some time off radio in between albums/singles. I'll still keep my original prediction of #4-7

So.....does this mean everyone's gonna love Britney Spears f/ Madonna? We haven't heard from Britney in a long time and Madonna since "Die Another Day."

Oops, forgot to say....yes, I am getting sick of Michelle, Justin, Christina, etc.
....but one person I won't be getting sick of anytime soon is Beyonce. I've been hearing from her from "No, No, No," to "Say My Name," to "Survivior," to "03 Bonnie & Clyde" to "Crazy In Love & Baby Boy".......
.......and I'm still not sick of her. Her voice is too satisfying. She will be releasing another solo-album sometime between now and January. Because by February she'll be recording again with Destiny's Child. Do you think she can get another single out of Dangerously In Love?

I like this song. One of the best on her album. But I admit her 2nd album is not as good as her first album but still good compared to some of the crappy albums that have came out in 2003.
I say it will a bit lower-#7
