Ummm, I probably went in there maybe 10 times over the course of a year. Not every day and night like you some of you. And I won't even dignify the last part of your statement. I have a life off the boards, and being a "moderator" doesn't affect the way I think and act like some of you seem to do based solely on these boards. LOL @ even the concept. Your attitude now seems to be very mockingly as if there is something wrong with people who happen to use MSN more often than you. So you somehow think you're better than us because we use MSN often or something? Hmm... interesting!

I wouldn't mysteriously delete posts/topics for one thing. Posts are not "mysteriously" deleted. This is something that one person here said and it got blown up so much that people see it as a fact. Posts have been deleted because they are taunting or instigating. We don't just delete posts because we don't like the opinion someone gives... and I've actually heard that we do that. I don't take anyone's opinion so seriously that I would consider censoring their opinion. This is not a dictatorship. It's a message board.

But what about yesterday? That's probably what Sunny is refering most to in that 'Hey...' topic.

...and for the record, I DO NOT delete posts for reasons other than the stupid taunting. Maybe the magic fairy with mod powers is doing it, but it's not me.
I've deleted posts in a grand total of three topics. Stop making it sound like I do it in every one. This board has been around for three months and I've had to delete posts three times since. Let's put this into proportion.

we deleted posts in a grand total of maybe 8 or 9 topics ever. And that was so we didnt have to lock those topics. You make it sound like it's an every day, every hour occurence.

By "mysteriously", I don't mean "deleted for no reason", I mean when posts are deleted all of a sudden without any sort of explanation until someone asks. Since you guys just love to compare to R&R, back in R&R, at least Brida would explain when she delete posts.
A better question would be "What would I not do?"
I'm still waiting for an explanation for that very unnecessary comment about me replying in this topic only because I'm supposedly in the MSN "click." I find it very inappropriate when such nonsense would come from a moderator especially when they are so strict about other people's nonsense.

But what about yesterday? That's probably what Sunny is refering most to in that 'Hey...' topic. Rob made a suggestion that the post [calling someone pathetic] I made, would have been deleted if they were not mine. They were my comeback to being called an "***hole" by another member here. So I delete my posts, as well as all the other off-topic taunting. "You can't have your cake and eat it too." If I can't give my comeback to someone calling me an "***hole," then what do you suppose I should do? Because to the rest of the board, it looks like I have no say and that people can talk like that to other members. ...and before you ask, yes someone reported it. Then all the other posts regarding those posts were deleted so that people could not take the topic off-course again.

Especially when it's a moderator that seems to look down on the MSN habits of others.

Since you guys just love to compare to R&R, back in R&R, at least Brida would explain when she delete posts. I don't believe anyone has deleted any of your posts Sunny. You haven't really done anything to warrant that. Therefore, you wouldn't know that warnings are sent out. Since we delete posts very rarely, we also only send out warnings for that very rarely. People act like "Where did those posts go?" You know why they went and so do the people that made the topic. I'm not going to say, "Oh, Sunny. That was very bad. You'd better watch your behavior." That's embaressing, so I [even though I've only given one warning because I've only had one person banned by my request] will tell people to cut it out through PMs. It's only their business. ...and these are examples. The way you have us explaining this makes it seem like we do this every day. We've banned three people in three months... not half the board. We haven't even had to speak to 95% of the board about their behavior.

Especially when it's a moderator that seems to look down on the MSN habits of others. That was obviously aimed at me. 1) I don't look down on your MSN habits. But I feel they're place is off the boards 2) No I was not the one who reported the "Hey!" topic.

Well I didn't mean it like that. Back in the R&R days, Brida would post something along the lines of "Some posts of this thread were deleted due to [reasons]. Don't do it again. You have been warned." I think that is much better than the "hiding everything under the rug" impression I always get here.

2) No I was not the one who reported the "Hey!" topic. Actually Rob was the one who complained that I should do my job and delete posts. So that's exactly what I did.

If you people don't have a problem with it, then that's fine, but if people begin to complain that there is no level of privacy, there is really going to be a problem. Sometimes I feel like people aren't happy either way.

Alright. If you people don't have a problem with it, then that's fine, but if people begin to complain that there is no level of privacy, there is really going to be a problem. Well it wouldn't exactly be a privacy issue if you don't mention name in your explanation post. I mean, really, it doesn't take that much work to post an explanation in addition to send PMs.So because I'm a moderator, I'm not allowed to speak? Oh you are allowed to speak, but that doesn't mean your previous comment about me was any less uninformed, unncessary and inappropriate when it wasn't true at all.

So because I'm a moderator, I'm not allowed to speak? Well, talking about some sort of "click" is nonsense and you did that after you told us to give up the nonsense so in that case, probably not.
As for the vote, I think explainations should be given when closing a topic. As for deleting posts, I'm not really sure about that because it's a situation of what you don't know, you don't care about. If a topic is run smoothly when I read it and there was no sign of an argument, then it's alright. Maybe just edit the post to say "post deleted" instead of deleting them? I don't know.

Where did I say "Sunny" or "BlahBlahBlah"? I was making a point that at times MSN conversations are carried on to the boards that shouldn't be. I'll point to the fact that Mike posted a chat from MSN in this thread as my backup. That's the point I was trying to make. Sorry for any ambiguity. But I stand by what I said in regards to keeping MSN chats and MSN likes/dislikes towards certain members off the boards.

But I stand by what I said in regards to keeping MSN chats and MSN likes/dislikes towards certain members off the boards. So does that mean that I can't make references to Rob or Sunny or Bryan or whomever else I talk to on MSN anymore? I can't say "Rob told me on MSN that he loves this song" or "Rob sent me his new song over MSN!" or "Bryan lost his MSN password so he won't be on for a while"? What's wrong with having cliques?

Where did I say "Sunny" or "BlahBlahBlah"? Umm... how about this:It seems to me that the only people complaining are from a small group of "buddies" online. You guys hate Josh so much that you don't give him a chance. That's no secret. And you also think that since you have a click off the boards, you deserve special treatment on the boards since there's so many of you. It doesn't work that way. When all is said and done you guys are 9 or 10 out of 249 members. No one else is complaining. Since I am complaining in this topic, am I not included with your post above? Talk about unnecessary generalizations.

Oh! How stupid am I? Never heard the last name Corey before. I am so off-topic! I'll get back on...
I respect the decisions the mods make because I became real good friends with one and it seems like a pretty hectic job! ... am I still even on topic?

and it seems like a pretty hectic job! Yes thank you Ian. People seem to think moderating is a career. It isn't. It's really not that big a deal. We don't have time to devote 24/7 to make sure every single member is 110% content 110% of the time. Just please realize this people.

Ben told me that I can not go into nostalgia topics and say I don't like songs when it's obvious I don't like the artists. obviously someone else isn't seeing "the whole picture" in nostagia i've asked you TIME AND TIME AGAIN to go deeper then just saying "horrible" or "this song sucks" and don't try and act innocent, i could give you millions of examples....

wrong, we HAVE given him a chance since he was VOTED in that position.... You don't have to like him, but just respect him. If you cite him sayng "I hate this song" over and over again in Nostalga as his biggest downfall, then seriously it in't THAT bad. Maybe it's annoying, I can see why some would think that in all honesty. But it's not a big deal since it's not aimed at starting arguments or anything. About the voting thing, yeah he was elected in. That doesn't mean every single person voted for him though. It's kind of like... I'm not voting or G. W. Bush next election day, but I still have to deal with it if he wins. :( What I'm saying is no board member is loved by every other board member. Josh is no exception just becuse he's a moderator, but in all honesty I don't think he's done anything wrong. And many people think he's doing a fine job. I's just that the people who have nohing to complain about smply don't complain, or randomly blurt out "I think Josh is the best!" for that matter. It's just that usually people don't dwell on the positive... and that's human nature, I include myself in that group. I think I devited more than enough time in this topic for one day. I really shouldn't have to do this so I'm not replying in here anymore tonight.
