Agreed, except change "really like" to "can tolerate".

A lot of non-Claymates seem to like it. Still top20 is not bad for him. Both Simple Plan and Nickelback seem to be picking up right now. It remains to be seen if either will be in for the long push to the top. I think Evanescence will really start picking up now that they are in the top40. Watch that bullet grow.

I wouldn't be surprised if Evanescence's bullet rose to the +400's soon.

The unreleased Britney Spears: "Outrageous" can make Top 10 New and Active if Alicia Keys debuts and at least one of the following happens: Maroon 5 (down to 20), or Matchbox Twenty or Fountains Of Wayne (both below the Top 20) go recurrent (I don't know if any of them have enough weeks) M.V.P. featuring Stagga Lee (+14), Barenaked Ladies (+11), Lucky Boys Confusion (+18), or Default (+40) lose their bullet and get no adds This is assuming "Outrageous" (+39) keeps its bullet band doesn't get passed. The greatest gainers behind it are Widelife, Ruben Studdard, and Britney's own "Toxic." "Iz U" loses over two-thirds of its spins and falls 77-119. Tarralyn also loses a majority of her spins. Britney's "I Love Rock N' Roll" goes from 0 to 1 spin and needs to go recurrent. That means she has songs from "Britney," "In The Zone," and "My Only Wish (This Year)" which is on neither in the current section. Switchfoot is starting out.

12/19 Chart - Weeks Maroon 5 - 23 wks Fountains of Wayne - 13 wks Matchbox 20 - 16 wks But wait, I've always been confused about this, does the recurrent songs only go after 20 wks in the top 40 or is it 20 wks in the top 50?? In that case Maroon 5 - 25 wks Fountains of Wayne - 16 wks Matchbox 20 - 17 wks Nelly-P.Diddy are going recurrent with 26 weeks. If Maroon 5 drops below 20 they will go recurrent.

"Perfect" is closer to "White Flag" (#26) in spins than "Hey Ya" so I'd say talk of #1 is probably premature. LOL, Ludacris at #10 is closer to negative 200 spins than he is to #1, so the former situation will be more likely to happen than the latter, right?

Outkast seems to be picking up a little more steam, I think they've gained over 50-60 spins today! They could crack 9400 tomorrow at this rate. Baby Bash also were up to 7600 mid-week, yesterday they were down to around 7550 or so, so they could be losing some steam. 3 Doors Down meanwhile isn't really going anywhere yet. They've been around 7900-8100 for nearly 2 weeks. It looks like Staind will get lucky and go top 20 next week, this song has been hanging around forever, I've been hearing it since like early June or so. Remember just 3-4 weeks ago when that huge battle was going on in the 20's. Well, it looks like we've got 2 new battling areas, 26-28: Dido, Eamon, Linkin Park and then 32-34: Sheryl Crow, Kelly Clarkson, Beyonce. I doubt these battles will last long, because I don't see very many of these songs becoming huge; maybe Linkin Park & Sheryl Crow will pick up and go at least Top 20, Dido may also go top 20, but Eamon?? I really hope this song begins to go soon, it's a horrible song, the actual music is okay, but his voice & the fact that you can only hear 20% of the lyrics just makes the song a piece of crap! Also Good Charlotte and Evanescence are now picking up, both are at +308. Further down the chart: Alicia Keys now is bulleted at #54, +507. Sarah McLachlan gains are back up into the +50's, it doesn't seem like much, but last week it looked like she could lose her bullet, I hope this song can keep on going and going. There are also several rhytmic songs with decent bullets; Jagged Edge, Nick Cannon, Mary J. Blige-Eve, and G-Unit.

Congrats to Simple Plan for making top 5 with "Perfect," it is their best song by far. I really like that song. I'm glad to see that they have done well with it. I'm really praying that Jessica Simpson's "With You," picks up again. I am really starting to love this song. Last week I gave it a "B" on Grade the Top 30 topic in "The Polling Booth," forum. It has suddenly grown on me a great deal and it's up to an "A+" now.

I wasn't expecting "Bright Lights" to start losing so fast, over -550! It seems like all of the songs on the chart haven't been real stable this week, gains have gone up and down a little more than usual, it must be the Christmas music.

Is it just me, or have Mediabase's updates been awfully erratic these past few weeks? We're two updates behind schedule and still waiting. I'd like to see some semblance of a final update soon.

I have a qustion about the two week break... are the weeks of those songs still counted? No. R&R doesn't count the unpublished weeks. Addionally, Mediabase doesn't remove recurrents during those two weeks.

The final update is up.
Outkast remains at #1, and they will likely remain on top for another month at least, as they lead over 3 Doors Down by over 1400 spins.
Simple Plan (6-4) and Nickelback (9-5) enter the top 5.
Ludacris has this week's only top 10 entry, rising 14-10. Santana falls 10-16.
Top 20 entries include Outkast (22-11, they'll have simultaneous top 10's after the break), Kelis (23-15), and Michelle Branch (21-19, but bulletless). Matchbox Twenty and Fountains of Wayne take big hits to their spins as they fall out.
Liz Phair officially joins the dreaded #11 peak club, as she loses her bullet.
Christina Aguilera backward bullets 13-14 with a gain of +86.
Clay Aiken's gain's down to +53.
Top 30 entries include Eamon (31-26), Linkin Park (32-27), and Pink (33-30).
"Shake Ya Tailfeather" and "So Yesterday" have gone recurrent.
Top 40 entries: Evanescence (43-37), Kiley Dean (42-39), Murphy Lee (50-40). Top 40 droppers: Nelly/P. Diddy/Murphy Lee (20-rec), Bubba Sparxxx (36-41), and Nelly Furtado (40-51).
Top 50 entries: JC Chasez (59-43), Limp Bizkit (54-44), Lillix (53-48), Alicia Keys (76-50). Youngbloodz re-enter at #49 without a bullet. Top 50 droppers: Nelly/P. Diddy/Murphy Lee (20-rec), Hilary Duff (41-rec), Nelly Furtado (40-51), Dashboard Confessional (45-52), Willa Ford (47-54).
The top songs in New & Active should be: 1. Jagged Edge 2. Sarah McLachlan 3. G-Unit 4. Mary J. Blige/Eve 5. Blink 182 6. Nick Cannon/R. Kelly 7. M.V.P. (still???) 8. Barenaked Ladies 9. Lucky Boys Confusion 10. Default
If Dashboard Confessional or Willa Ford gets any adds they'd be #1 New & Active.

13 14 CHRISTINA AGUILERA The Voice Within 4093 4007 86 33.234 There are two things i find ironic about this 1. 4093 is Dirrty's spin peak, which was at #14. 2. The only other time Christina has ever backward bulleted with a single was with "Come On Over Baby", which also backward bulleted 13-14 (ended up peaking at #4) at the +86 gain. But for some reason i really don't think the song is finished at all. It's still new. I think it will pull a fighter/chud. EEK at Kiley Dean debuting at #39! That song is so old now!

This is easily my favorite single off of Stripped. It reminds me of all the ballads from the mid-90's that dominated radio this time of year. Key words = this time of year. In other words, if it doesn't start to pick up again soon, I'm afraid it'll be over. I hope it does go Top 10 though.

Thank you Big Boi, Ludacris, and Chingy for keeping that awful Liz Phair song out of the top 10. Too bad #11 isn't really all that much worse.
