I really like this song and have liked it since the first time I heard it. I imagine it'll do very well... I'll predict #3 peak.

This has been out since last Thursday right? That's not a huge start. I mean it's big, but not like All For You, or even Me Against The Music.

The song goes "Love me for a little while", right?
Why did they change the title to 'Just a little while' if that's not even the words? lol

Baby, I like it when it feels this good You always seem to make me smile Can’t nobody do what you do When you love me just a little whileIt's in the first verse.

pumped. But if this board is any indication of how the radio listeners will react then they will initially get mixed reviews after hearing the song for two or three weeks people will start to like it.
I'm an undercover Janet fan. I dont really care that much for Janet's pop creations. I like R&B Janet much much more. I wish she would stick with R&B and Dance music her voice will automatically make it crossover to pop.

Yea, those Pump or Dump things mean nothing anyways.
I know that z103 listeners Dumped Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and it went on to be in their Top 5 of 2003, so...
It's all subjective to those who actually calls in that particular night.

That's true. I remember they dumped Brandy's "Sittin UP In My Room" on KTFM 102.7 when it was a Rhythmic station. They played that song like it was going out of style.

I believe I'll be right about his being an event single that will rise and fall quickly.
Radio stations will play it because of the superbowl incident, just like they did "Me Against The Music" and the imfamous kiss.

One night after she shocked the nation, Janet Jackson soothed their ears. Jackson's new single "(Love Me For) A Little While" became the most added song to U.S. radio airplay on CHR stations in a single day (9:00am to 5:00pm share), with over 1100 stations adding the new single to their music line up. CHR adds were listed at 400 by 12:00pm noon, and are expected to rise to 1000 by 12:00am midnight as many stations debut the track later in the day.

I heard it on Z100 Friday. PLJ played it too. This has Hot AC potential as well.

I think for those who are disappointed or 'hate' it, is because Janet has been away for SO long, and you haven't had a shred of new music from her in years, so as the hype for this latest album/single began to build, you also started your minds working overtime with excitement, and while doing that, picturing the PERFECT way for Janet to come back, the perfect song, what it would sound like, but it is what YOU think would allow Janet to ascend to the top of the charts. It was YOUR idea of the perfect Janet comeback single. So when this new song finally hit, you were colossaly disappointed, naturally, because you had just been spending the past 2-3 months frying your brain as to what YOU were hoping it would sound like, so much so that it was burnt into your brain cells. I think that's just creepy. Are there even that many CHR stations.

I can not imagine a situation in where this song won't go directly to the top of the charts.

here are the stats for this song
Hot A/C +74 15 stations Pop +638 96 stations (#53) Rhythm +145 26 stations
There's roughly 15 million in audience. In any case hopefully this song will help Rhythmic become a little more Rhythmic and a little less cRAP.

no theres only 128...freaks! ... monitored by Mediabase's panel. There are many more CHR/POP stations in the whole country that are in smaller markets and are thus not monitored (hence the Indicator chart from R&R). And it said CHR stations, which would mean both pop and rhythmic (I assume). Still, 1100 CHR stations seems ridiculously large to me. 1100 total radio stations... maybe more realistic. I heard this song for the first time this morning. It was just... OK on the first listen. Maybe it is a grower - maybe not. We will see.

Is it just me or does the guitar intro remind you of old school George Michael?
