If Mariah's going to flop, she's going to flop. Exactly. Brandy and Janet would have flopped with anything they released too. It's not like Kanye made them flop.

I am personally over the "producer of the moment" and I think Mariah along with the majority of the rest of the divas need to be innovative and try other things besides using whoever is hot. How many times does it take for people to realize that when you are down, using the producer of the moment wont help you??? And that includes Janet. Kanye is nothing innovative, unique or creative. he is the average producer, the only difference between him and the average joe on the street producing is his arrogance and loud mouth.
I dont have a problem with using a certain producer for a song or something that is hot occasionally. Thats all fine and dandy, but when you dig deep into the producer of the moment pot and pull out EVERY producer that is making noise(Kanye, R.Kelly, Swiss, Scot) and parade around the fact that you are using them to get attention (as if that makes you stand out) makes you looks desperate, and desperation is not flattering.

Personally, I don't think Mariah can get herself any sizable hit with her in lead anymore. I can't see her hitting it big with this or any song, no matter how good. I think Mariah's time as a lead singer is done. But I think her best bet at getting any minor to major hit (major being low Top 10 for her) would be to get a good R&B type mid-tempo (a la 'always be my baby') song with Kanye. Maybe have a Kanye rap in the song or something but nothing overwelming.

I was looking at this webiste... www2.uta.edu/hunt/charts/chart.html And i was shocked to learn that my favorite song by Mariah, "Always Be My Baby", never hit #1! :o Does anyone know what song stopped this jam from going to #1? How could a horrible song like "Make It Happen" become a #1 hit for her, while a lot of her decent stuff like "Always Be My Baby", "Without You" and "Honey" miss it.
