Ashlee Simpson should easily be #1 again this week. Maroon 5 may or may not bump her out next week.
The Black Eyed Peas, Lil' Flip and Ryan Cabrera are all looking like definite top 5 contenders in the weeks to come.
"Yeah" is still bulleted, but will likely be booted out of the top 20 this week anyway by either Terror Squad, Kelly Clarkson or Bowling For Soup. Usher
Look for top 30 entries by Hilary Duff, Dashboard Confessional and Christina Aguilera f/ Missy Elliott.
Top 40 entries will likely include Nitty, Skye Sweetnam, Toby Lightman, Ashlee Simpson and Vanessa Carlton.
Showing some promise outside the top 50 are Usher f/ Alicia Keys, Good Charlotte, Mis-Teeq, Nelly f/ Christina Aguilera and Busted.
Going recurrent THIS week: Usher(most likely) Mis-Teeq
Going recurrent NEXT week: Switchfoot(most likely) Los Lonely Boys
Going recurrent in TWO weeks: Petey deleted Britney Spears
Going recurrent in THREE weeks: Alicia Keys(if she's below #20)
Going recurrent in FOUR weeks: Usher
Going recurrent as soon as they fall below #20(WOC as of this week): Jojo(22) Ashlee Simpson(16) Christina Milian(21) Hoobastank(28) Switchfoot(35)

Showing some promise outside the top 50 are Usher f/ Alicia Keys, Good Charlotte, I can't believe Monica held them BOTH back this past week. :o

Avril Lavigne, the Black Eyed Peas, Lil' Flip and Ryan Cabrera are all looking like definite top 5 contenders in the weeks to come. She was already Top 5 last night. :) JoJo has been around for too long. I'm predicting a -1000 soon.

She was already Top 5 last night. :) She has been for several days. Not sure what I was thinking, but it's fixed.

Where does Switchfoot rank on the list of longest charting songs with their 35 weeks now?

If the current trends continue, there could be six top-40 debuts next week!
Usher, even with a slight gain, would fall to #21 and go recurrent, and Ashlee Simpson, Nitty, Skye Sweetnam, Vanessa Carlton, The Killers, and Toby Lightman would all enter the top 40.
I'd love to see Toby Lightman make the top 40 again, though I'm worried this underachieving song could lose its bullet too soon.

Where does Switchfoot rank on the list of longest charting songs with their 35 weeks now? The longevity record for the PPW era under the 20/20 rule is 37 weeks, as set by Vertical Horizon's "Everything You Want." 37 weeks is probably a stretch for Switchfoot, given their current loss rate. In all likelyhood, they'll tie "Hanging By A Moment" for second place at 36 weeks. Prior to 20/20, the longest top 40 run was 43 weeks (Blues Traveler - Run-Around) and the longest top 50 run was 52 weeks (Real McCoy - Another Night).

Wow, Maroon 5's bullet has really dwindled. Avril's too, although she's now gaining considerably better than M5. Hopefully they'll both pick up again!
Black Eyed Peas are now the greatest gainer within the Top 10. Hopfully this will make reconsider sending the lead single from their next album to radio next month.
Ryan Cabrera is about to jump Nelly to enter the Top 10. Unfortunately, Nelly won't be out for long since Alicia will likely fall below both him and Ryan within the next day or so.

Good grief, is "Yeah!" going to hang on for another week? Modest Mouse lost their bullet... :( Go The Killers! And "Goodies". Songs in the top 60 I haven't heard: 38. Ashlee Simpson "Shadow" 39. Nitty "Nasty Girl" 40. Skye Sweetnam "Tangled Up In Me" 47. Usher/Alicia "My Boo" 51. Good Charlotte "Predictable" 53. Nelly/Christina "Tilt Ya Head Back" 55. Mis-Teeq "One Night Stand" That's a lot for me actually.

I just heard "On The Way Down" for the first time a couple of days ago...then I saw the video yesterday, and heard the song again while I was at a restaurant.
I like that song, it's not bad
I havent heard Toby Lightman, "Real Love"...that is a remake of Mary J's song? Pop, R&B, ?
I haven't heard the Killers, Trapt and I dont really know that Gavin DeGraw song either. I've heard the Good Charlotte song once, I don't remember how it goes.

Oh no! Vanessa Carlton's bullet is down to +164. Thats so weird-literally from last evening pretty late to this morning 3-4 stations started dropping her 15-20 spins. Did they all get together and decide the song sucked and to drop it in one night?

Ryan Cabrera is about to jump Nelly to enter the Top 10. Unfortunately, Nelly won't be out for long since Alicia will likely fall below both him and Ryan within the next day or so. Nelly will probably still end up at #11 this week because Lil' Flip is about to jump over it and Alicia Keys.

Maroon5's definitely dwindled. Avril had what I would call an artificial boost the week before from debuting on AT40. Now that I finally got my act together and got the charts on the right computer, here are Avril's gains last month. She isn't dwindling. +631 (Last week) +571 (2 weeks ago) +326 +497 +732 (5 weeks ago) Good grief @ "Yeah!" Can't Kelly Clarkson do anything right? All I asked was a simple thing - just to gain enough to knock off Usher. Is it that hard? (Apparently yes) Well that aritfical jump only accounted for about 120 spins. So If she was at +730 then it would really be +610, so shre has dwindled slightly.

(Apparently yes) Actually, there is a non-zero chance that even if Kelly "does something right" (i.e., enters the top 20), Meant To Live MIGHT fall below Yeah! and keep it on the chart for another week!!! >:( >:(

If the current trends were to continue through Sunday, here's what the spin totals would look like:
Kelly Clarkson 3093 Switchfoot 3225 Usher 3225
It'll most likely be Switchfoot at #19, Usher at #20 and Kelly at #21 this week.
How many weeks did "In Da Club" end up spending in the recurrentless top 40? At the rate it's going, I'd say "Yeah" has a good chance of surpassing that.

>:( >:( >:( Everybody call all your pop stations and request Breakaway!!! No thanks. The song was alright when it was a Faith Hill track. Kelly is like a Faith reincarnation. If we're going to have one of them with a pop hit, give it to Faith Hill.

Highly unlikely, but I thought the chances of it staying this week was highly unlikely too. Well that aritfical jump only accounted for about 120 spins. So If she was at +730 then it would really be +610, so shre has dwindled slightly. That +730 was 5 weeks ago. The AT40 debut cause a gain of +631 last week. All I'm saying is that I'm not surprised she went down to the 400s, but I'm surprised Maroon5 saw their gain slashed from +729 last week to +326.

Crossfade might have one of the lowest audience impression numbers ever for a top 100 hit (99,000).

Crossfade might have one of the lowest audience impression numbers ever for a top 100 hit (99,000). During Hoobastank's 7th week at #1, "Cold Hard Bitch" was #99 with 0.071 and 47 spins. Same week: Baha Men were at #93, 57 spins, 0.075. I think the recurrent purge occurred around that time. (Baha Men... new single... - Oxymoron, anyone? :o)

Vanessa's low bullet isn't just sad, it's a genuine injustice. Skye Sweetnam has a bigger bullet now! She needs to pick up, FAST.
