Although her music is not readily available on streaming platforms her impact is still felt to this day. 100 percent. When I moved to the UK five years ago, I was blown away by the impact she has had on the young female R&B singers even over here. She’s the template for so many artists. I just want to see her celebrated at maximum level and I don’t think her estate is allowing that which is so frustrating! |

Im just really confused as to why her music isn’t getting the proper handling it deserves. Can someone fill me in - I already understand her uncle, Blackground drama etc but as her family, do they not want to do ANYTHING to commemorate her? Even if they didn’t want to put her music on streaming...re-releases? VINYL? They would make profit off of vinyl, I can tell you that. It’s such a shame. Barry’s had so many lawsuits against him, he refuses to do anything that would generate income because he knows it’ll be seized. Such a waste of a human being. |

Her first album is with RCA after Jive dissolved, correct? Maybe they would be a good fit, that way all of her material is under one umbrella. We obviously know how they (mis)handle the promotional aspect of things with their artists but they wouldn't necessarily be doing any of that. Unless there's new material to be released.

How hard is it to put her albums up on streaming w bonus unreleased, remixed content. Repackage a GH with some new tracks? Release a new/unreleased track to announce her discog finally being put on streaming? Or something...this is all so absurd. It has made me so mad for so long but at this point, I don’t have high hopes. All I know is that if Baby Girl were still alive, she would not be into this tomfoolery AT ALL.

I’m certain Barry is well aware how much money is being missed out on but he literally has MILLIONS of dollars in settlements levied against him at this point so I’m sure he’s not been keen on generating any kind of legitimate revenue just to have it seized immediately. If conversations are being had, I’m assuming there’s a loophole that’s been found or he’s finally worked out some kind of deal that will legally allow him to profit off this. It definitely won’t be out the kindness of his heart and love for his niece and her legacy. |

I agree that the red album should have been included, but I personally think One In A Million is just as deserving. It's the album that introduces us to Timbaland and Missy first.
