Wow, Maroon 5 may end up getting #1 this week over Kelly. Geesh, what a**holes. First they prevent Avril from #1, and now they're preventing Kelly? I hope you're being sarcastic.

I hope you're being sarcastic. Not quite sarcastic, but obviously I'm not actually putting the blame on Maroon 5. It is quite annoying how the song did block 2 other potential and BETTER songs from #1.

Hmm... it'd be nice if Mediabase would update, they still have the 3:09am chart posted. I'm still betting on Kelly sneaking in a day at #1 (tonight's final update) before Nelly passes her.

So for the five Mainstream Hit stations (MTV, Sirius-001, WDDB, WSPK, and KISX) not on the CHR-Pop panel combined, Kelly has 333 spins, Maroon 5 has 331, and Nelly featuring Tim McGraw has 173. If there's no video for "Over And Over," that would explain part of the difference.

Wow, Kelly got it by 2 spins! Im glad someone finaly gave Maroon5 a taste of their own medicine by narrowly grabbing #1.
She Will Be Loved seems SOOOOOO old to me...damn
Im glad Kelly gets at least 1 week (day lol) at #1, but what a day to do it! Right before the final update so it is officially a #1 song, right?
Nelly should pass her tomorrow.
Thats weird seeing as how songs usually never get just 1 week at #1.

Talk about luck here...and good timing. Avril was #1 for practically the whole week, but fell to #2 soon before the final update. Kelly will most likely fall to #2 in a few days yet she officially gets a chart-topper because she was #1 at the right time.
Good...glad to see Maroon 5 out of there.

Well Kelly should really enjoy her half a day or 1.5 days at #1 because Nelly is hot on her heels.
So Kelly not only holds the record for lowest spin total for #1 song (since they stopped adding the indicator chart to the monitored chart anyway), but she probably also holds the record for least number of days at #1 on the rolling chart?

Looks like Kelly held only a half a day at #1... and it was the exact half day that she needed to be officially #1 for the week.
Good timing is right.

LOL it's not even 12 hours at #1 but on the countdown shows, they'll say that Kelly had 1 whole week at #1. Ugh. Good timing indeed.
The question now is how much higher "Over and Over" will go. I'm sure it'll breach at least 9000 but what about 9500? And how many weeks at #1? 7? 8?

3 weeks in a row with 5 spins separating #1 and #2-that's gotta be a first. Interesting how the exact opposite of what happened with MHE last week happened with Breakaway this week.
As for these close margins between #1 and #2, does anyone else think that AT40 playing the previous week's #1 twice helps to slow the turnover rate at the very top?

Only in exceptional circumstances, as was the case with Avril, missing by a mere 5 spins, or whatever it was.

How can a song hit #1 with a +1800 bullet? :o It helps that the #1 threshold is so low this week... historically, a song with 7200 spins wouldn't even be at #1. The week of 5/21/04, for example, shows Nelly's current spin total would have placed him at #6 (where a +1800 would still be remarkable, but less so).
