"Acapella" is a free video download on iTunes and why hasn't her label sent this for adds at Pop? it could do something there. I didn't like it at first but the video sealed the deal for me.

"4th Of July" and "22nd Century" leaked in full. I love them; I was afraid the dancey direction would result in a disaster, but so far so good, IMO.

Not really into this kind of music but "4th Of July" is just amazing. Not feeling "22nd Century" or "Acapella" though.

Fortunately nobody can claim that Kelis is ripping off Lady GaGa in the outrageous looks department.

That's short.
I feel like we're going back to the 80s where albums were 8-11 tracks.

That's short. I feel like we're going back to the 80s where albums were 8-11 tracks. Kinda a good thing. No one really wants a full drawn out album with a bunch of fillers. And I think it has a lot to do with the money put towards the album.

This is almost a straight-up house album. The circuit boys will eat this up this summer.

perezhilton.com/2010-05-13-kelis-to-peta-suck-itIt surprises me how well-spoken she is. You wouldn't expect the "Milkshake" and "Bossy" girl to sound eloquent. I love her for how she can stand up to PETA and its lunacy AND I'm lovin' "Acapella." Go Kelis!

I love her for how she can stand up to PETA and its lunacy AND I'm lovin' "Acapella." Go Kelis! I think anyone who has listened to a Kelis album knows she's not a stereotypical urban artists. Her biggest hits might be considered standard hip-hop fare (although I think that's highly debatable) but all her albums reveal a more intriguing, cultured individual, IMO. It took a while for me to get into "Acapella" but it's actually one of my favorite tracks of her new effort. The video certainly helped me appreciate it more.
