ugh..! Why didn't she work with top R&B producers? She's gonna flop Tamyra style.

^How come it's like nothing? It's a positive to be in the top 10, but I don't know how much in sales this represents.

The single sold 800 copies. Top 10 or not, who cares?

I see. Then why does Billboard even keep track of single sales if it's so low?

Even though I bought the single, that blows. Taurus sold more. (Taurus who? exactly.)

The album has already leaked. Gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed. There are only two or three uptempo songs. It's not a bad album, it's just BORING.

Yo Robert J, Can you run a quick list of the 14 tracks. Do they match the "track listing" posted by Concord? T

Predictions for where this will debut and how much it will sell in total?
Will it be able to go GOLD or will it sell more like Tamyra's debut?

Robert J, Thanks man. Did you listen to every track all the way through? What'd ya think? How in the world did you get your hands on it?
My prediction? I think that with Latoya's talent, and the belief her team has in her, I see no reason why this project can't go Platinum! Concord took the Ray Charles "Genius Loves Company" project all the way against all odds, through distribution deals with Starbucks among other avenues. No one thought it would ever do the kind of numbers it did. I see no reason why they can't do the same with Latoya. After all, she's not just another "American Idol" with an OK voice, OK songs, OK Label, OK image. She's by far extraordinary, and I think eventually, everyone's gonna get on board!

There's no way this will go Platinum without a BIG hit.

"Scandalous" sounds so much like Mariah's "Fantasy". Even down to the pulsating synthline in the chorus.
A lot of these ballads are really very high quality adult contemporary. The album isn't on par with either of Kelly's albums or as consistent as Fantasia's album, but I'd rank it right behind those three albums as far as American Idol albums go.
"I Can't Hide" is an excellent quiet storm ballad.
"How I Love The Rain" is one of my favorite songs to come out of American Idol ever! It's incredible. It reminds me of the adult R&B that was out around 1991.

Orange Clouds,
I Can't Hide, that one 's not available on her website. Where'd you hear it. What do ya mean, "quite storm"? Sounds like a good thang HA HA. Quiet storm could be like a SADE or Anita Baker vibe, and might be exactly what Latoya and Peak are going for. Maybe this is the song they should pull as a single? T

The advance of the album is out. Quiet storm is a kind of urban adult music that usually gets most of it's play at night. You were right about Anita Baker and Sade.
