And why hasn't Candy Shop taken off? It's bullet is only at +191, when it should easily be around +500 considering that its already top 10 at Rhythmic and almost top 20 at Urban (Greatest Gainer at both). Considering that it hasn't even gone for pop adds yet, and it's been out for less than a month, I'd say it's doing pretty well.

Considering that it hasn't even gone for pop adds yet, and it's been out for less than a month, I'd say it's doing pretty well. But I think the point here that is being made is that "Candy Shop" isn't exactly mirroring the instant impact here than it is on the CHR/Rhythmic and Urban formats. Nelly and Tim McGraw's "Over and Over" topped this chart before it ever went for adds. Sincerely, Noah Eaton

Has 50 Cent ever impacted CHR/Pop at the same rate as he does Urban and Rhythmic because I seem to remember since he first came out, his singles take much longer at CHR/Pop.
Nelly on the other hand blows up at CHR/Pop and bombs at Urban and Rhythmic, so I don't think 50 and Nelly are comparable.

I wouldn't say Nelly bombs at Urban and Rhythmic because O&O climbed up the rhythmic charts just as fast as it did on the pop charts and it peaked at #3 on Rhythmic.

I never though I'd say this, so it pains me that I am, but GO ASHANTI! Get into the Top 20 and knock J. Ho out before the final update! I guess I just discovered that my contempt of Ashanti < my contempt of J. Lo Are you opposed to rooting for Frankie J.? He has a much larger bullet than Ashanti and you could credit him with bumping off J. Lo. from the top 20 rather than Ashanti! :) And Ciara is now #1 on pop radio! :o Look at Eminem slowing down to an (almost) grinding halt! He might be able to pass Gavin next week, but after that, who knows what will happen. Looks like this single is a quick rise/quick fall one.

Like her or not, Ciara's done some pretty impressive things, coming out of nowhere to go #2 with Goodies, and now looking to be #1 with her second single.
Numb/Encore looks to be used up with a impressive peak at #12, but so close to the top 10.
Nelly looks like he'll drop to #12 on his first week out of the top 10 since november or so.
And there is a tiny chance LALA will fall out of the top 50.
Rob Thomas is right outside the top 5 new and active with 99 plays below #55, Crossfade "Cold." So here's what might happen....If Ashlee doesn't fall out and open up a space for all 6 of those songs to either chart or be top 5 new and active, then I think Rob Thomas will outgain ahead of Crossfade and #54 Candy Shop, and then Crossfade will get ahead of Candy Shop and Candy Shop won't be on there at all...

any chance taht ciara can hit #1 on the hott 100 next week? She does get more downloads, so maybe. Green Day's bullet is bigger than Kelly's now... they should follow up Ciara, as +601 is a nice bullet for #4, #2 is falling, #1 will fall anyday now, and #3 is in catchable region. Plus, I get a feeling that performing at the Grammy's and winning multiple awards *knock on wood* will give their bullet a boost (not a huge one, mind you. More like an increase of 50-75 spins). The question is: who will follow up Green Day? Frankie J or Usher?? Oh, and 3DD is down the +74, the Killers down to +148.

She does get more downloads, so maybe. I don't think the margin by which she exceeds Mario in downloads is enough to overcome the lead Mario has in airplay.

The question is: who will follow up Green Day? Frankie J or Usher?? I say Frankie J, for the simple fact that if "Burn" and "My Boo" couldn't hit #1, then neither will "Caught Up".

neither, there is no way that enough Hot AC-leaning stations, which is half of the board, will put either two in a high enough rotation to make them #1. My guess is Rob Thomas, because I think Green Day will spend around 6 weeks at #1.

My guess is Rob Thomas, because I think Green Day will spend around 6 weeks at #1. I think a lot of the HAC leaning stations would put Frankie in semi-high to high rotation... the sound of the song resembles "Let Me Love You" in the fact it is a soft, emotional R&B ballad... and "Obsession" is better in my opinion. I do think that Rob will hit #1, but he might have to wait for Frankie and Baby Bash to move out first.

And although "Obsession" has a rap, it's pretty sing-song and can slip through without much notice.

I think Obession will hit #1 very soon, its gaining like crazy. Breakaway is going to stay at #15 again this week and its not even losing spins heavily. Heres its chart run: 49-40-33-29-26-22-21-18-13-9-7-5-4-1-2-2-2-2-2-3-4-Break-4-5-10-11-15 This will be week #27!

And although "Obsession" has a rap, it's pretty sing-song and can slip through without much notice. Those stations that are no so keen on rap could elect to have a non-rap edit of the song. I'm sure one exists.

I'm betting if "1, 2 step" was released first off of Ciara's album, it wouldn't have done nearly as good as it did now. I think it's different with "Goodies" because that song would've done good no matter who released it and when they released it because of it's Novelty-ness.
