The 7x-Grammy nominated group is prepping the release of their sixth studio album, Electric Café (with members Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron Braggs, Rhona Bennett) set for release in 2017. The first single "Déjà Vu" premiered in April 2016, while the follow-up "I'm Good" was released in May 2017. Former members Dawn Robinson is working on new music for an expected second solo album, while Maxine Jones has her own radio show and is at work on both her debut solo album and a self-help book.

I wonder if they'll ever make another album together.

They look busted up in that pic above. The only one that looks good is Terri.

I agree. Old and haggard. But Terri was always the best looking to me. That amazon one tried for a while but her time is past.

Damn's abusive relationship with volatile husband Dre allegedly led to friction in the group. It is said that the other girls can't stand them.

Jun 25 2008 7:16 pm A Slice of The BET Awards: Alicia Keys and Dem’ Jeans! From a (black) man’s point of view, that would have been all that’s needed to say about Alicia Keys performance at the BET Awards. Then just as Alicia Keys shook her hip, for what looked like the freeze, she upstaged herself - changed the story - by bringing out SWV, En Vogue and TLC. It’s been years since they’ve performed together at this kind of event and it showed. They all looked nervous - and rusty (skill-wise). I’ll give it to Cindy of En Vogue, she fell right in place; ready to get it in for one or two more joints. Some are calling this the performance of the night. Let’s call it the reminisce, where’s my old CDs, moment. --- Images: (Wireimage)

Does anyone know if they are signed to any label? Yes, "At least it's not McDonalds" Records... Just kidding...I love those girls. "Funky Divas" was the shit back in the day!

Just saw the group perform at BB Kings last night (with Rhona, not Dawn), and they were FANTASTIC. Vocally, each one of them was great. And they looked so much better than the pic that's first in this thread. Cindy and Terry could've stayed up there all night singing I think. Such a fun show.

Wow they're reuniting. Coincidentally, I've been listening to Free Your Mind again.

I don't think there's any genuine interest for an En Vogue reunion. Girl groups come and go. These ladies were big for about the first half of the 90's and then faded into oblivion. Happens all the time. I love their hits and all, but I could do without a new album.

From the previous attempts for reunions of Xscape, SWV, 702 & other female R&B groups, I think En Vogue stands as having the best chance at success, especially in the Urban AC market (such as Tamia, Eric Benet, Jaheim, etc). All they need is the right material, and a push from a major label, and they'll be fine.
Lionel Richie was able to make a return 2 years ago with his Grammy nominated Ne-Yo-penned hit "I Call It Love".

Lionel Richie was able to make a return 2 years ago with his Grammy nominated Ne-Yo-penned hit "I Call It Love". Lionel Richie in his prime was much bigger than En Vogue ever was. He was massive with The Commodores in the 70's and was one of the top male performers of the 80's. He had tons of major crossover hits. En Vogue had a handful. I'm not downplaying their success, but they were never half as big as Lionel was in his prime. Not to mention, it's a bit of a double standard, but it's easier for men to be embraced in their old age than it is for women. Look at Charlie Wilson. He had quite a revival, and while he was big with The Gap Band for most of the 80's, he never had near the success of someone like Lionel and still manged to be recruited for a number of rap hits and score a few moderate R&B hits for himself this decade.

Based on the crowd last night, there is definitely at least some interest in an En Vogue reunion, with or without Dawn.

If you're there with a bunch of people going specifically to see them, then of course there's going to be a lot of interest among the people there. I don't think your average R&B fan gives two shits though.
