Well, I'll speak for myself, but Matt did a pretty good job representing me. I just meant that regardless of what happens with remaining singles off this album, I don't think they will be a one hit wonder because the lead single off the next album will do well.
I don't have any idea how "Breaking" will do, so I didn't make a prediction on that.

I'm not sure a band this new could ever be labeled as one hitters without breaking up first. Who would be crazy enough to assume that? A band this new? They've been around since 2002.

No no no Artie, no. Im not gonna sit through an argument in this thread, theyve been around for awhile, like 4 albums or something now, they are in no ways new, I dont care about the label, the sound, the band members, the whatever, there is nothing new about this band.
End of story :)

It would be stupid to write an artist off as a one-hit wonder after their first major hit, regardless of how many singles failed to make a significant impact before it. So, yes, from a chart standpoint, they're new.

Obviously, but they're too new with only one top 20 hit to be written off with only that one song. Oh, well sure. But I'm jaded as fuck.

"Tonight Josh Beckett threw a one-hitter in a Red Sox win over the Yankees." The term you're looking for I believe is "one hit wonder." :) It's Friday. We gotta gang up on Artie a little before the weekend.

You can call them that. Wonder is a bread. But I've used "one hitter" much longer than the other term's been around. Plus it makes for a cool accessory. You're that old, huh.

I was definitely not labeling them as one-hit wonders, and no, they have made the alt/modern chart 2 albums ago with Paper Thin Hymn, they arent really new in anyway. Plus they have had a load of Christian hits

I think a question worth asking is, how well does "Breaking" have to do to be considered a success? I think top 30 at alternative is a near certainty.

Well, if this song would get the f**k on down the chart, I don't see why it wouldn't go top 10 or even top 5. I think it's a little too poppy to go #1, but there's always the Pop chart for that.

Or "(a) music fan (from) Atl(anta)".
Anyway, it looks like I wished a little too hard for Anberlin to get a hit.

So now that someone did include an optional "the", you're saying that it shouldn't be there?
But anyway, let's not let this turn into an argument. Thanks.

Besides, when it was on Never Take Friendship Personal, it was called "The Feel Good Drag". If they dropped the "the" on the new album, I don't know why. I don't care why.

Matt, I was surprised when the question of song title came up, because I would have expected you to point that out on page 2 or 3 of this thread!

Sorry guys, it honestly sounded like a pretty big deal to be. But I guess the fact that noone commented on this until yesterday may also be a sign this isn't really that important
My apologies for taking this further than it should have gone...
