I don't think they will ever chart again at alternative...
They gave a few good songs....but others are horrible!

OMG YES!! I love these guys. One of my friends who is a 31 year old married woman is like a silly tween when it comes to them. She took a day off work to go wait in line in NY for a meet-and-greet and mini-concert. She brought Tyson's favorite soap with her and wore a Butter shirt (his clothing company). She bought one for me and people always comment on it when I wear it LOL. She convinced me to go to a show with her and it was really good I have to say! I became a fan officially and I can't wait to tell her the good news. Thanks!

Have to chime in... IMO Both of AARs albums are great from start to finish and they put on a hell of a show. I'm sure they can still make an impact at alternative depending on song selection.

Who's producing BTW? Is it Howard Benson again?

I'm a big fan of AAR, but I have say they are most likely done on Alternative for the most part even though they may still have a single that may do decently on the format up their sleeve at some point. With the types of other bands doing well these days, I can't see them fitting in too well and are much more situated on Pop or Hot AC.

I like both of their albums about the same. I can't really make any complaints about either one, but neither one of them completely blew me away. It's why I'm expecting this new one to be good, but nothing incredibly spectacular.

Based on "The Last Song" and "Swing, Swing" (but mostly the cruelly shunned "Last Song") I bought their debut 5 years ago and was sorely disappointed, as not only was "The Last Song" by far the best song (nothing even came close to sounding like it), but "Swing, Swing" itself didn't have the same ending as on the radio, which actually makes a huge difference to me in this particular case.
All the other songs sounded undercooked and whiny.
I knew the second record would have more of a full band sound, but I was too underwhelmed the first time. Plus, it took me forever to come around and like "Dirty Little Secret." "Move Along" and to a lesser extent, "It Ends Tonight," were fantastic, but I wasn't impressed by "Top of the World."
Anyway, I learned the hard way that they're a singles band for me, but I'll be looking forward to hearing this song when it drops.

Dance Inside should have been released as a single instead of Top of the World. It's prob. the 2nd best song next to Move Along on the 2nd album

It's interesting that i like a lot more their debut....but my favorite song is Dirty Little Secret
I also think Move Along is one of the worst songs they ever did...

I also think Move Along is one of the worst songs they ever did... I thought that was one of the best songs on the album when I first got it, but after hearing it about a bajillion times, I have to agree. I got sick of it so fast.

The album, "When The World Comes Down," is scheduled for a November 18th release.
Oh, and "The Last Song" is easily their best.

Soooo catchy! How do you guys think this would do at the Rock charts? To be honest, I don't like it. Yeah it's catchy, and that should be plenty for a pop audience, but I don't see this taking off on active or alternative. I'm still holding out that this may not be the official first single. But if it is, oh well. I'm not a huge fan so seeing them putting out something I don't like isn't terrible to me. If anything it'll garner a limited amount of alternative play. That's just my two cents though, they could potentially do quite well on alt just on a name basis, but unlikely.

Very Catchy, love it actually, but I doubt this'll even go for adds on Alternative.
Remember nothing from the last album touched Modern Rock

Yeah, that's why I'm asking because it's definitely more pop than rock.

Yeah this is great, but if Dirty Little Secret couldn't even manage to chart at any rock format, this has no chance.

I really don't like this song, it's a bit too boring, sounds like a 3rd or 4th single to me. I'm much more impressed with FOB's debut single. I'm really interested in The Killers new one though.
